I've made a few runs out with Seabreeze and always been happy. Kinda silly to have electric reels and not use them, not like you're finessing in a fighting steelhead, it's a car door you're pulling off the bottom for crying out loud...

Never have and never will use a electric fishing reel! I have caught a110 lb old school way👍😁

I think around 30-40 miles? Out to a large shelf that drops into deeper water.

Mike your technique is terrible dude! No wonder you got exhausted. You gotta use your ass to pull up that fish, not your arms! Glad you got it though. Back in the day down in SoCal we'd go down 700 ft near Catalina for ling/cow cod. 15 hook gangions, 5/0 Penn reels with winch handles on them and big rail plates to steady the rod. Those were some workouts--no electric reels, that's for sure.
