The yellow helmet they used in 70 and 71 were designed by Vince Lombardi himself who wanted his new team to look more like his old team the Green Bay Packers, but unfortunately he never got to see them in a game as he died just before the start of the 1970 season. Around here in he DC area those helmets are called the "Lombardi R" helmet

The rebrand cost us from ever seeing that beautiful Lombardi R helmet smfh. Would’ve been so perfect for our 90th anniversary

3:03 The 1982 logo wasn't supposed to be any different than 81 or 83, but the adhesive on the decals was defective to the point that they redesigned the logo to get the decals to stick. Joe Washington wore the more traditional logo because he wore a different brand helmet and didn't have the adhesive problem.

The 1978-2019 burgundy and 24 karat gold with some white is by far my favorite helmet. To me, the team is the Skins so my favorite team name is the Skins. All Skins football!!! The team doesn't need any black; they already have iconic burgundy, gold and some white.

Jay no way! Washington fan here, i can't say the word Comm...Comma...Com. I just can't say it. Redskins forever & i hope they bring the name back soon. Steve is right on the money, it's one of the best looking helmets ever. Cheers from Down Under.

My favorite name is the Washington Redskins, favorite helmet logo, is the Indian head with two feathers. And I hate the politics in the NFL

I liked the burgundy helmets with the yellow facemask. Hate the football team and helmet same with the commanders. I wish they would bring back the Redskins name.

For me its: 1. 78-19 Redskins 2. 2012 leather helmet 3. Spear helmet (which we had before FSU btw) 4. Yellow Lombardi R's 5. The 50s/60s feather back (not in this video) 6. 2013-2019 "alternate" (stripeless 78-19) 7 thru whatever. Every other NFL teams helmet (minus Cowboys, Eagles, Giants) Shit: Burgundy Commies Ultra shit: Black Commies Our current commie uniforms are so MF bad. I hate them

Classic Washington Redskins: 1978-2019! All of that all day long please! They’re a generic afterthought much like Cleveland now. So stupid! I wince whenever I might see the Redskins play now as Commanders; Absolutely Awful, the new name and uniforms!

The "woke erra" is gonna go down in history as the worst erra in history. You got memorable moments like the greatest gen, free love 70s, hair metal 80s, MTV 90s, myspace erra, facebook extravaganza, Tebow Time, Trump Mainia annnnnnnd then the woke. Aka, a moment in history where we have ALL information at our finger tips on our phones yet we are dumber then ever watching tik tok videos all day!
