Thanks for bringing Sam on the show, David. I love his work and only get to see him when he's on your or Keim's podcast. I got mad love for Sam. When it comes to WRs, Terry Mac is that dude. And I just am not gonna engage with the "He's not a top 5 WR" crowd. He's a damn good WR. And every team needs damn good players. Put the top WRs with the 10 QBs Terry played for and let's see if they get the same eye-popping numbers (I doubt it). As for Forbes, I too, have my concerns. But I'm going to ask more of a constructive question on him because even I am tired of bashing the young man: Given his size (and his Superman metabolism), what does Forbes need to do technique or mechanics wise to be a successful NFL CB?

Because he was a first round pick and is supposed to cover WR1's. And if he can't cover 1's who is going to do it. That's why they should have drafted McKinstry

I could care less when Dan Quinn the #1 QB. I just want the best player at all positions out on the field each game no matter what. And Jayden better be motivated by more than just being named the starter. The motivation comes from within and is always ongoing. It never stops no matter what you do. Win a game. Motivation. Lose a game. Motivation. Be the mvp. Motivation. Not being the mvp. Motivation. Motivation is everywhere if your going to be the best.

If Micah Parsons blows past Cornelius Lucas for a sack then that will make Cornelius Lucas just like almost every starting tackle in the league. The issue with the offensive line last year was that they weren't good enough schematically to play a 70-30 pass to run style, and teams started to key in on those schematic weaknesses quickly (Also Sam Howell had a super slow release). If they play a more run oriented style and they use that to force the opponent to go into cover 3 or cover 1 shells it should make things much much easier for the Offensive Line in terms of pass protection. There will still be sacks. There will still be bad sacks. They will still need talent in the draft or at free agency next year. I just hope that with the right scheme in place we can manage to not ruin a QB until that happens.

FACT: JD can give 100% and be awesome and still loose regress, and get hurt with no help. FACT: JD can chock the world and develop faster with great weapons and protection. Why risk it? Give the man EVERY possible leg up from the get go. What happens if JD get hurt due to protection, or Terry being the only reliable WR AGAIN. AP/ DQ/ Harris will never recover with fans. Almost seems DQ wants a built in "not my fault" reason season 1 fails.........

You guys and your persistence on who’s #1 here, there, everywhere, is completely irrelevant!!! If I could, I wouldn’t tell a soul, but of course the players definitely know, until we line up for our first offensive series of the regular season!! Who cares who wants to know, outside of the player themselves!! And trust me, they know.

Dotson or Brown plus a 2025 2nd rounder for Aiyuk. Trade Allen or Payne to recoup 2nd rounder and use that $$ on Aiyuk. Now we not a "rebuild" and a LT like Bakhtiari would be willing to come. IF enough $$ after restructuring some contracts bring in Gilmore......Now we look like a conference player. Aiyuk is the best blocking WR last year, plus WAY better than Terry (sorry Terry I still love ya). He instantly makes the RBs, TEs, and JD better too. This is such a no brainer, I am starting to feel not doing it NOW is malpractice. I know AP prefers to use draft, but we got 5 years on JDs cheap contract. DO NOT waste year 1 when we can surprise the F@ck out of the league!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think Forbes is a lock to make the 53 man roster. Let's face it, based on what he shows on the field and his size, if he were NOT a former #1 pick but rather a #7 pick, no one would be supporting him or even thinking of him as a regular on this team.

I agree with Sam. Tired of all the bark and no bite. They have won 10 games TWICE since ive been alive. Forbes is way too small and he looks even smaller than he did last season so passing on two top corners in the draft by trading the pick to a division rival. just more conformation that we cant be happy until we see them win 10 games or more. You guys are talking about not leaving Quan Martin on Tyreek in the slot but Mikey isnt any faster or better. These corners are going to get torched because they dont have the talent to be good. I love the scheme but you need talented guys to play in the scheme. We have no above average outside corners. Should have picked Joey Porter Jr or Christian Gonzalez last year and McKinstry this year

Forbes isn't taking this seriously....there is no reason he didn't commit to becoming better by adding some muscle to his frame...he had all off season to get stronger....you can't tell me he's gotten stronger...if he did he would appear bigger...adding it now only puts his development back because he had time to gain the weight and be in shape at that weight...but he didn't...I don't see him playing much and will be an afterthought soon....and I was so high on him...oh well...we will see if he can put it together ...but I doubt it.

@ravivaithinathan3704 Nah....bruh had all off season to bulk up...I mean 8lbs of muscle over his entire body would have helped...he's anorexic as far as NFL players go...he can't play at a high enough level at his current weight..and the other day says he wants to add weight at the end of OTAS....give me a break...he did not put in the work....period
