I definitely understand your point. I agree with you in fact. However, I think the admiration that some extend to these individuals is the fact that an African American can drag themselves out of poverty (right or wrong). To see a Black Man accumulate wealth and help others that look like him is rare. He definitely hurt his community. No doubt about it.
