Last weekended we headed off on a short road trip to Washington DC to visit family. We spent a few days exploring Washington DC and taking in some of the famous places around our nation's capital. From massive parks and delicious food, to monuments and memorials, Washington DC is full of famous sites and history to fill many days. We took a very low key weekend enjoying being back in a big city and enjoying all that Washington DC has to offer while also exploring the city in areas that we don't know as well. Washington DC is huge, but we managed to squeeze in some of the fun spots in Washington DC into one video. Let's go!

Hey y'all! We're Chris + Sara (or as you know us, Let’s Be Us), a husband and wife digital nomad travel duo currently working and traveling full time with our pup, Kramer. We've always dreamed of traveling full time, and in May of 2018 we took the leap and made it happen! Today we're balancing work and fun everywhere between the Pacific and Atlantic. From hiking and cycling to tacos and coffee, we're trying to see and experience as much of this world as we can! While our home is currently on wheels in our DIY Sprinter van, our travels take us all around the world.

Lol. No one has ever changed someone’s mind with a KZfaq comment. No truer words have ever been spoken. That gave me the biggest laugh I’ve had all week.

I live in DC and was born and raised on the hill! There are sooooo many of us that don’t work in politics and just have normal lives here too☺️ the neighborhoods are just regular neighborhoods❤️ so fun seeing people visit the place I grew up!

Georgetown grad turned DC resident here. Glad to see you explored more than just the mall and M street! If you’re ever back I suggest checking out other neighborhoods/places like Adams Morgan, U St and Ben’s Chilli Bowl, Anacostia, and the National Arboretum. DC is very diverse like you said but we have the largest Ethiopian population and 2nd largest Salvadoran population in the US which makes for some great food! The greater DMV area offers a lot as well. Rockville MD has a lot of Chinese immigrants and food or you can check out Annandale VA which is more Korean. I am Chinese and have to say there is great Asian food all around, including Thip Khao which is Laotian and Hiraya which is Filipino

Loved this video, so happy you showed outside the downtown. There is so many unique neighborhoods that are a must visit! We lived ‘13-‘16 just outside DC when John was stationed at Andrew’s AFB. We loved it! YES the city is very very noisy, love having all the green spaces to escape. Thank you for taking us along. I’ll be there again mid-September as our daughter now lives there. Great video! ~Cara 💖

Hi from DC! I’m glad you enjoyed your time here and that you were able to make it out into the neighborhoods and spots like Union Market. I live in DC proper and I almost never go to the National Mall or Capitol Hill-but spend plenty of time enjoying the outdoors and Rock Creek Park.

So cool to see the other side of DC! Mark Alan went in 8th grade on a school trip and of course did all the touristy things and has wanted to go back for a long time, but if never seen much of the appeal. Thanks for showing the fun side of DC! 😊

It's pronounced La Co•se•sha, and the purveyors are also Latin. As a Washingtonian, I still go to the Mall for walks but in non-peak times.

I visited DC in 2007 and enjoyed how dense and clean the city is. The subway was very convenient. I wouldn't live there though because there's too many protests and political bs.

It's pretty easy to avoid protests and political bs if you want to. The vast majority of us do it everyday. Most of the time it's not happening in surrounding quiet neighborhoods. People live their lives here like any other city
