Back in 1985 Blackie and Chris was interviewed at Sky Channel's Headbangers Ball , by Amanda Redington , where they talked about their new video at that time "Blind in Texas" and also about their forthcoming album "The Last Command"
A little *use cleaning tape" some minut in the recording,but works okey for VHSVHS recording , 720p for better quality

The fact that the tape skips makes this video even more metal.

Epitaph Blackie is a genius. He was really ignored by record labels because he didn't do the stupid Down Boys dance that pretty much killed Jani Lane.

As a 24 yr old back in 85 I can say the world was about as different than today as you could imagine and everyone of that era is down in the dumps today...or dead. Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Madonna, Prince, Van Halen and Wasp... all on top of the world..rich, famous and now look at them. Life changes more than you could ever imagine. One thing I can certainly say is that life was so much better then.

Chris does not have an expanded eloquent vocabulary like Blackie. Blackie is definitely intelligent & articulate in speaking. Chris has a great stage present, Blackie has both.

1:38 - General Sam Houston (March 2, 1793 - July 26, 1863) was an American soldier and politician. His victory at the Battle of San Jacinto secured the independence of Texas from Mexico in one of the shortest decisive battles in modern history. He was also the only governor within a future Confederate state to oppose secession (which led to the outbreak of the American Civil War) and to refuse an oath of allegiance to the Confederacy, a decision that led to his removal from office by the Texas secession convention. Houston was born at Timber Ridge Plantation in Rockbridge County, Virginia. He was of Scots-Irish descent. After moving to Tennessee after his father died, he spent time with the Cherokee Nation, into which he later was adopted as a citizen and into which he married. (wiki)

do W.A.S.P still tour? I would love to see them play, even though Blackie is the only original member. I didn't get into W.A.S.P until just last year. My friends dad has a badass poster of them and he told me the story how he met them back in 1985. Wild Child is what got me hooked.

Yep - they still tour and a new album should be out in 2015. Blackie did a press conference in Sweeden and he stated the new album that will be out is called Golgotha - so unless there was a title change, maybe we will see and hear new WASP in 2015

After watching this, I see what you mean, concerning Chris Holmes not being allowed to speak very much. He gets in, if I counted right, less than the proverbial 10 words, all through the interview. Blackie didn't know when to shut up! Now, 35 years later, Chris has his own band, and I think he has a show called "Mean Man". I just might have to check it out!
@MichaelHolmgaard
@MichaelHolmgaard 4 жыл бұрын
Jealous of what exactly? Blackie created Wasp, wrote almost every single song. It was Blackie's project and vision from day one, while Chris was mainly there to look cool. Headless Children & Crimson Idol are widely regarded as the pinnacle of Wasp, and that was all Blackie

You have it for sure in format (MPEG or VOB) and has much better quality, than if you just download it from KZfaq... It's just that I've been collecting interviews with Blackie for many years and I would really like original file of this video. I could trade it for any other interview with Blackie, I have lot rare interview with Blackie. I will wait for your response and thank you in advance!
