So after accidentally stumbling upon Litchfield Park in Street View, I immediately noticed that almost every house has underground bins. I've always thought Litchfield Park, being relatively small, was just another neighborhood in Goodyear (like Palm Valley or Estrella). Evidently, they're their own town, formerly serviced by City Waste and later, Paradise Waste). The city contracts with Waste Management of Arizona to provide unlimited twice-weekly collection of refuse, weekly collection of recyclables in city branded 32 gallon Toters or manual crates, and monthly bulk collection.
So, of course, I find them in the area with as little trash as possible. I would have gotten more footage with a tripod in an area where a 96 gallon cart, both underground bins filled, and some extras on the side wasn't an uncommon sight, but, unfortunately, they went to lunch after the last clip.
Recycling is done by a 320 Autoreach with a driver that said no to filming because "he was working". Because logic.
I'll be back for more if you all like it.
Thanks to friendly crew for allowing me to film.
