Overpowered Wasteland 3 sniper build with 100% critical hit chance from level 4. Build presented as Marcus (John Wick movie) walkthrough from the start till level 25 on Supreme Jerk difficulty. Main features: 100% critical hit chance, 50% strike rate (every second hit is Precision strike), 2 shots per turn in early game and 4 shots in the late.

Sorry if it little bit messy, I ran into a huge number of bugs and had to adjust build during playthrough. Still i find that this build is one of the most efficient for Supreme Jerk.

@@Synsane Haha, i was thinking about beastmaster build today, the only things that come to mind are: Rally, Leadership aura and Mark. Not impressive. Other drawback is that pets out of player’s control and the AI is pretty weak.

the vengeful bond trick has been patched and no longer works. john wick and marcus are now useless old men with pea shooters sitting in a spa with diapers on.

@@owlygames6666 Loved the video and Im currently attempting to recreate it for my supreme Jerk run but I'm not able to change the Punk Lovers quirks or background at all. I feel like these are pretty invaluable to this build. Is this a fix in an update or am I missing something??

Excellent video! Unfortunately it is old, things had changed since then and some. many things don't work: - you can't exploit the Perks with utility. You need all the points in the skill to get it. - Vengeful Bond is not semi-permanent anymore. If you heal your pet it is gone. Any reload/change map it is gone - Cheebus doesn't sell the best equipment (Eliminator) - Eliminator is not even the best sniper. Currently it gives only +15% Strike Rate, not 50% - Save/Reload doesn't refresh vendor items

save reload does work,just did today,twice just in case,the point is you need to buy >ALL< the shop inventory before saving and reloading,the items will be there,trust me, this way i could get two skillbooks of survivalist in a row from the aspen guy

Fantastic video. Now can you add to this with how to build the party around Marcus. What other weapons and perks do they use? Maybe a how to use Marcus in combat. what to click, what to do before and during combat. I love this IDEA so much!

I m glad you are so inspired : ) Check my video about party composition and just distribute skills between members based on your role play. In this video i have only John Wick (pistol crit build) and Marcus dealing damage. Other 4 members focus on secondary skills (0 skill points invested in combat) they still compliment combat with: each of them has Rally perk and Mark perk +character with mechanics skill set up turrets between foe and the team if the battle is tough. Rotation is easy: Before the battle Marcus and John use Cigarettes, +1 AP food, drop pet's health between 0-25%, use combat stim from Chemtech armor, positioned in the way that prioritized enemies are in range so no AP waste on moves. I dont use crouch, as its bugged and rally not adding AP on crouched characters, to compensate this i start the battle staying close to natural covers to get +10% accuracy. During the battle every turn starts with Rally, supports mark targets before Precision strikes or trick shot, and the rest is just pew-pew : )

people go to aspen first is fine ... but finish the whole mission of the bizarre first or when they return from aspen they will hear on the radio flab saying that the bizarro was taken by the clowns and everyone is dead ... and lose that 30% discount hurts

do you know how to make the sniper have 2 pets? In my previous tour if I could and now I can't, I mean I had Major Tom and Billy Jean, one to increase the crit and another for more critical damage but now it won't let me, it's more I have the AW to the maximum and I don't get the option to enchant animals, weird

you shoulda use the Fancy suit which is available from the merchant outside the bizare requires kiss ass 6 but both Markus and John Wick should be walking around in suits. I don't think John wears any kind of protective gear in the movies

You can still wear armor just toggle it off. It's kinda satisfying, not displaying armor my main character takes a rocket to the face while lucia dies 3 meter away and he starts killing everything.

There is a sniper rifle that they sell it to you in the HQ that is more powerful than the eliminator but it only loads one bullet and needs 1 AP more than only 6 ... therefore it is not suitable for chain ambush and the neutron projector that also it is more powerful than the eliminator that could be a good option if you find it difficult to find cheebus ... the first time was easy

I just realized that rally doesn't work if your lead character is crouching ... it's super stupid, but it turns out it only works fine if he's standing, I checked it myself

Is there an update to this given the new patch - "Sniper rifles have had their bonus strike rate reduced. Low level sniper rifles have no bonus strike rate, but will start to gain the stat at higher levels. High level sniper rifles now cost 7 AP to fire, up from 6."

I'd say gear him towards Chain Ambush (which was fixed 2 patches ago) and using Trick Shot for 2 Precision Sttikes per turn, and less towards getting 4 attacks per turn (which is obviously no longer possible). You can absolutely still achieve 34% Strike Rate, which is the next-best break point below 50%, and effortlessly get 25% too (the next-best below that), so the Strike nerfs weren't the worst. The build achieves 19 AP per turn, so that's still 3-4 attacks per turn, depending on mods used. The BIGGEST nerf is honestly the delay in obtaining T6 weapons. Combined with the inability to recycle used unique mods, this means the build won't fully come online until the late game, never as early as a rushed Aspen. But, these are just my thoughts! If he comes up with a better solution, I'd also be eager to hear it! =D

Cheebus has been Level restricted now. No more max weapons. Go to the Massacre Site and there are three L21 weapons and the Honey Badger (L-10 animal whisper).

True, pets get 100% HP after each load screen, but it takes few seconds to drop their HP to 1-25%, I just used to it : )

@@wolker213 for endgame, use explosive JackHammer with quickfire mag, +9 m scope, and choke +20% angle. Take sneaky shit for + 300% damage. Full awarness, full charisma, full intelligence. Nearly every encounters are over in 1 turn. One shot any bosses for 2 ap. Playing in jerk difficulty as well

hi bro, you said you bought 2 scopes, but how did you do it? save after buying it I did the save and reload but it did not appear again, I read that it does restock if you buy everything, but very expensive ... any video that you say how you bought 2? by the way did you know that you can cheat with skill books if you use a joystick?

Cheers ✌, to restock you need to buy all gear from vendor and yes it cost some $$$ 😀I've heard about skill book exploit but have never used as game is pretty easy anyway😄 It can be useful for solo run challenge may be.

sniper rifle AP´s were nerfed..now the good ones cost 7 AP...that´s the prtoblem with build guides that are older than a year...they tend to become invalid due to the patches of the game because developers don´t want OP guides to be possible too early in the game.

Hi, yup, the idea is to keep pet below 25% or below 0% : ) buff stays even if the pet dies. Here I copy answer from comments below: " I have noticed when i did this playthrough that there are a ton of pets in any location, even in Aspen Little Hell there are ~5 rabbits and foxes, so it's not a big deal if you accidently throw too much damage on pet, you still will get buff and can tame a new one later if needed. You can also have some ranks in AW on your supports so they carry "spare" pets"

I have realized that it is better if you are going to do a built snipers it is better to go up all the cordination so as not to have to deal with the fact that you only upload one at a time and that you need 2 TO RECENTLY HAVE ONE MORE AP which is a nuisance ... so you better fill it up from the start

Cheers mate ✌, cmon, to min max you have to calculate each aspect: what actions are you going to do each turn and what is better to have +35% damage which will be tripled with crit and x6 with [Crit + Precision strike] versus +5 AP. I agree with you that have 3 shots early is nice, but sometimes its better to have only 2 but deadly.

@@owlygames6666 you can go up several levels without leaving colorado springs doing side missions before you have to go to the bizarro and that includes the hoon farm where you can go up more levels without having to fight ... and if I already know that the evil men are behind the museum and the garden of the gods but your other companions can take care of them ... so I guess you can spend a couple of hours lame in the eye

If you already have a trick shot, what do you want opportunist? Unless it is compatible with the sniper as it draws, it is more I think that perks are compatible with others ... gopher hunter for example only works with automatic weapons I put it to the test with the sniper to see if it lowered the evasion of the target, but nothing happened, which one do you think are compatible with others

So I have a question about the use of the Opportunist Perk. Doesn't it ONLY work for handguns, meaning it's not +5% Strike Rate which applies to your Sniper shots? But the build showcases charging your Strike meter every 2 shots with 50% Strike Rate from 6% base +14% from 7 CHA + 25% from weapon +5% from Opportunist. Was this a bug that may possibly be patched, or did I misunderstand that you do NOT fill the meter using exclusively Sniper shots every 2 shots? This is besides the Trick Shot method, which doesn't need high Strike Rate at all. But with just 2 CHA a Marcus build has 35% Strike Rate, which means 3 attacks instead of 2 charge up your Strike Meter. Now that Chain Ambush works again, with 19 AP, even with Oversize Mag instead of Quickfire Mag, you have enough AP to use Trick Shot, 2 Sniper attacks, and end your turn with Ambush. You're essentially guaranteed to begin every round with a Strike Attack, even with 2 CHA and no (maybe bugged) Opportunist, if you get 2-3 attacks during Chain Ambush, so you get 2 Precision Strikes per turn anyway! Did I get this right? Because if so, it looks like there's some spare Attributes, Perks, and Skill Points I can redirect elsewhere... =D (For example, using Ray Tracer with Adv. Materials Mag and Draw! Perk in the late game to get free shots after reloading between each attack, getting 3 Sniper shots for 4 AP each, then ending turn with 11 capacity Eliminator Ambush.) I love this build, and you broke it down step-by-step absolutely wonderfully on how to optimize it perfectly! Thanks a lot for the video! ^^

Cheers ✌, opportunist Perk works for all weapon types. With 50% strike rate u need only 1 shot to charge strike meter as Precision strike charges meter for 50% itself, as you've seen in video😵. Nice idea about 35% strike rate 👍💪, had no time to test it as Chain Ambush was broken, but stuff you described sound interesting 😉.

@@owlygames6666 The more I look at it, it seems like Draw! can be abused by equipping ANY weapon with the lowest Reload AP cost, then just unequipping it and equipping it again. So until Draw! gets patched to fix this, it looks like the most exploitable Perk! Strange that Opportunist works for all weapons. I wonder if that was a mistake... Thanks for your speedy reply! I'm looking forward to using a sniper based HEAVILY on this build for my next SJ run! =D

Yeah but realistically this is min maxing at level 20 plus to start with before you know whats available......few people on first playthrough are gonna follow this path......same with the money glitch, this is a SP game, you will only fuck it for yourself if you abuse shit. The games so complex its defo kinda hard to balance it all imo but any 'normal' person passing through is gonna enjoy the combat imo

@@rtorbs As for me the first playthrough is a fraction of playing the game, and while replaying i still want to have a challenge which is set up by the game with its balance. Look at DOS, POE, PathfinderKingmaker there are ton of super OP builds but the combat is still enjoyable and challenging. I also think that with a few tweaks like Draw Perk nerf the combat will become much more balanced. Anyway I still enjoy the combat even in its current state : )

Look, I'm going through half the cat's life and nothing happens and I really don't like to hit him ... but I found another way, Gary "NaCl" Wolfe, if you do his missions to hunt robots, a new book is unlocked that gives you another hidden skill "combat shooting" THAT INCREASES YOUR CRITICAL DAMAGE UP TO 50% !!! so it's time to go john connor hahaha

I discovered how to make a lot of money without having to resort to the turbo charger bug ... it turns out that you have to have a character with barter at level 10 and with his 2 perks, I used it in the commune of machines and got to buy 12 FarSight computers assisted scope buying everything AND THEN SELLING EVERYTHING including bullets and grenades and things that I was not going to use to vivisector, save to see what happened and if I load the area so the game allows it, YOU ARE NOT CHEATING, you are using the rules of the game AGAINST HIM !!!!

Well, it worked for me, I bought from the vending machine, I ran out of money I sold everything to vivisector for this you have to have the ability to barter to the maximum to sell 50cal bullets at 500% and the other things like bullets that do not uses and grenades that are somewhat useless in the game, I spent 15000 and when selling I recovered 30000 there and repeat

sadly most of your builds were made with the animal companion exploit in mind which got fixed by now

Greetings! I believe if something works as intended by the developers, it's a feature, not an exploit. They can rebalance features by boosting or nerfing them to change the gameplay. I suppose the crit chance for this perk has been reduced (haven't played in a while 😥), so it was nerfed - not fixed or patched as glitches or bugs. For example, world of warcraft, dota etc, they change features pretty often to refresh the gameplay and meta.
