I have some very wholesome funfacts for you then. The scene at the end of the film where Robin Williams nominates the new pan and gives them his sword was wholly improvised. NONE of the boys knew who it was supposed to be, so all of the reactions were genuine. Robin Williams in generally was a good person on set and was all around fun for everyone. The scene where one of the boys says "You're back Peter, Pan the Man!", Robin Williams is actually mouthing the words so that the child can remember the line. He also had some friendly banter with the actor for Captain Hook and the two would make witty remarks about each other on set all the time. After Williams passed away, Steven Spielberg, who ORIGINALLY made this film as a passion project due to his own role as a father but had become overencumbered by the workload and felt it inadequate, went back to rewatch the film and has reassessed it as better than he remembered.. Though he could not make it through its full run time as Robin William's and him were close friends and the film obviously featured the best of Robin's personality.
