I'm just getting into Watain and have been wondering where this band has been my whole life. Listening to this interview, I thought, "Trident, Wolf, Eclipse would be a perfect album title. " Erik was 2 steps ahead of me. Fate, I guess.

I remember the very first time I saw Watain was in 2008 at a warehouse show in Oakland. The smell was unbearable but electrifying at the same time. And when the flames came on, it intensified the smell of the flesh (since it was technically being cooked 💀) they got away with some stuff on that tour as they were not as big in the USA yet.

Basically "Temple of Ain" He once explained the Name is a combination of the Thai word "Wat" which means Temple and the hebrew word "Ain", which was something out of kabalah, i think it meant the emptiness before creation
