Model and former reality TV star Amber Rose spoke Monday at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, two days after an assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania.
The suspected shooter, who was killed by law enforcement, killed one person and seriously injured two.
“My message to you tonight comes from a humble place. The left told me to hate Trump and even worse, to hate the other side, the people who support him. When you cut through the lies, you realize the truth. American families were better when Donald Trump was president. We were safer, wealthier, and stronger,” Rose said.
During the convention, delegates will adopt a party platform and Trump will formally accept the Republican nomination for president. On Monday, Trump named Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio as his running mate.
The Republican National Convention kicks off Monday, July 15, in Milwaukee against the backdrop of an apparent assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump this weekend.
