I always recommend you do searches on local by and sell websites and use a proxy service to get bargains, here is what I scored!

Checkout you local pawn shops too. I scored an Omega Speedmaster LCD at my local "Cash Converters" for $AU80 (discounted 20% from $AU100). It was at the back of the display cabinet and facing down. The bracelet looked familiar because I was actually in the market for one and knew the watch in detail and thought "no way" so when I asked the guy if I could see it and confirmed is was indeed a Speedmaster I just held on to it tightly and bought it as fast as I could before they realised what they had.

Happy new year! 🤪 And what a year it is !!!! 😶🙃 Joke aside, love the Citizen, big fan of their solars (ok, ecodrive for the gruppies hahaha). Great channel mate, i'm watching many of your videos, long time now, keep on. PS Found your channel searching the net for my daddy's Seiko Data 2000, that now seems to be dead, some time after i changed battery. I'll try to get a new one and see what will happen... If the coil is damaged (you know...) or doesn't restart for any other reason i'll ask my father to send it over to you (as a gift, cool man! hahahaha). Cheers.

Pay an attention on Armitron Rubik. it can be new produced or old stock of Citizen 1980s watches.

Very cool. Do you have the Seiko Honda A781-4070? A very rare watch that's hard to come by but looks stylish imo! Hard to find a very pristine one as well.

I have a Rotary GB844 digital/analogue watch from 1989. I recently had a battery fitted and to my surprise it still works perfectly but some of the black dial area appears to have bled. Is there any way this can be corrected?

@@johnhorvath6797 The watch needs to be under power for you to be able to do the test. The ground of the probe need to be connected to a pace where you have "-"(minus) on the board of the watch. The tip of the probe needs to touch the pads that go to the LCD. Bare in mind that not all segments are lit up as it depends what time the watch would be showing so just test a few of them. Hope this helps.

Question. I have a vintage longines from early 90's that is a digital analog watch. Its running on the esa251.251 movement. This movement has two lcd screens. On the right screen, the date is showing, but the issue i have is that when you manually change the date with the crown, its very sensitive and may jump multiple days instead of 1 day increments as it should. So for example, if the date on the lcd screen is set to 1, after i do a full 24h turn with the crown, the date number may jump to 5 instead of 2 as it should. Is this something you've had before on digital watches? Literally cannot find any answers to this 😭

Hi, not familiar with the movement, but I have had other crown ctrolled digitals with similar issue. The problem is either dirt acumulated on that area or some levers bent out of shape.

@@VintageDigitalWatches Interesting. This movement has a Contact Wheel made out of plastic with a crown-like part on top which i believe changes the date on the digital screen, so maybe related to this. Have two of these watches and both have the exact same issue. Really annoying.

But eBay you can just search worldwide anyway from the search filters?

You can but I found m8xed results, if you search on a country speciffic ebay site you'll get a few different results, and if tou add a VPN connection to that then some more

hello hello..i have sad news my seiko lcd watch a135-5000 is not working anymore and the watchmaker told me he could nothing do anymore and he cant get a new module for it..what can i do?? regards Rodrigo from Maastricht.

Find a donor watch and harvest the module or find someone who can repair your current one.

I literally posted the exact same Crystron on my Instagram page - I need a new crystal for mine and the rechargeable battery is already on its way to me. Please do a video on it, it's a really awesome piece of tech and history :)
