I really appreciate being able to see and hear the artists tell their stories. When I was a kid collecting comics and trying to mimic them there was no internet so I had no clue what they looked like, much less listen to them tell their stories. I think it's easy to take this for granted nowadays. I even found the little story at the end about his signature fascinating, this might seem mundane to some people. I didn't like his style when he took over on X-Men, but it grew on me over the years. I now actually like his style, when you see it, there's no mistaking it for anyone else's.

As a boy growing up in England in the 1980s the creator names on American comics seemed incredibly exotic and mystical to me, and I could only guess at how to properly pronounce them. No-one else but me knew these names because most people then didn't know American comics. I stopped collecting mainstream comics towards the end of the 90s (without regret) and now one of the stranger, rarer but most genuinely thrilling things I do in this age of the internet is see and hear speak the people with these names with the quiet, illogical bemusement that they are actual human beings and not the arcane, near-gods of my childhood perceptions.

Besides the broken wrist, that way of picking up the pencil makes your whole arm to do most of the job, which ends in bigger, looser and more natural types of lines. I think it's safe to say that 90 % of the people who draw for a living use that at least for the initial states. Inking's a completely different game, so my guess is that the broken wrist's the reason why he doesn't usually inks himself.
