The father daughter relationship here is just too overwhelming. seeing a father so in love with his daughter that it shows in how he looks and speaks to her no matter what mistakes she has made give so many others like me hope. My father doesn't show emotions and really never looked at me and told me he loved me till I moved away and had my oldest son and he missed me. Almost lost him to a stroke and heart attack 3 yrs ago. Those days he was on life support were the longest. Hearing he would have brain damage and wouldn't know me devastating. Thankfully when he woke up and was taken off ventilator he knew me and my siblings and has very little brain damage. I hug him tight and tell him I love him every chance I get. He'd just have to deal with it cause I'm not letting go. 😂

I wish I had been that good of a Father to my daughter when she was young. We are very close now, but it took 25 years. My own Father loved me so much but he never found love for himself. The last time I saw him was the Summer of '76 . He OD'd in the Summer of '78.

Isabella ncali I see a father desperate to understand his daughter. They’re disconnected and not hearing each other. She’s troubled and he’s in pain around their personal history and how to talk to his daughter. I believe Elle King was left by both parents at a critical time, when they both were consumed with their careers and with fingers crossed hoped for the best with allowing others to parent Ms. King. I hope they find a way to heal further, together, out of the spotlight.

Amen Elle! You are doing great things for people for talking openly about depression. There are a lot of people struggling with depression in the world today and I feel with each celebrity talking about it, it becomes more accepted and takes the stigma out of mental illness. Until people can discuss this like any other illness, and can be more understanding of the people dealing with it, more still needs to be said. Thank you for being a voice for mental health awareness!
