Hey Nico, I think Gordon's Explorer is a 16550, the 16570 has black outlines around the hour markers, while the 16550 has white gold outlines. The patina on the dial is also unique to the 16550, as they fixed it in the 16570! This watch is much more expensive than the 16570 due to its collectibility! It's about 25k vs the 7-8k of the 16570 now. Love your content!

I’ve watched a lot of GR over the years and met him about 12 years ago and he has had his yellow dial watch for years and nearly exclusively. It must mean a lot to him.

Nico, Gordon is wearing a 16550 Explorer 11, the precursor to the 16570 (what you say it is). The 16550 is a much rarer interim model which introduced the white dials after the 1655 & was only made for about 4 years (between 1985 & 1988). The price can be way more expensive than a 16570 (nearly 3 times for the most expensive) depending on the colour the dial has changed to - all are different - you show an Explorer 11 with white gold hands & hour markers, this was only on the 16550, the 16570 has black

am I the only one who thinks that the old Breitling looks really nice? especially with its iconic pumpkin crown/pushers. after seeing his yellow watch(which even makes his wrist more pop) I immediately fell in love with them and I'd look for something similar with round pusher like the one Gordon wore and I couldn't seem to find it.
