Could another company buy the tires and then deconstruct it? Or is it only exclusively for F1 cars and are tightly monitored?

@@Vennss Nope. The tires are manufactured by Pirelli exclusively for F1 and as soon as they are used, each set must be returned to Pirelli. The tires even have barcodes to keep track of them and make sure nothing gets out. The tire used on the watch is probably an older compound that Pirelli gave to the watch manufacturer (the compounds are updated every year to keep up with the cars).

but like there’s a shit tone of marble on the track. Also I’ve seen that occasionally tires are gave away to some fans. So I’m not sure if it’s about the compound

@@MrJahoo2 Usually the tire marbles are ‘cooked’ rubber which is not very helpful if you’re trying to reverse engineer the chemical makeup of it. Additionally, I know that Pirelli cleans up the track after the race and collects every piece of tire they find on the track so even getting a hold of small pieces of rubber is very difficult. About the “giveaways”, I don’t know if that’s true, I haven’t seen Pirelli or F1 give away actual tires, maybe small replicas but not actual tires.

I love the fact he is taking his demonetisation seriously but still can't make a video without swearing.
