Wargaming a Famous Scene from Band of Brothers. You saw his dad portrayed in Band of Brothers, now join us for an exciting wargame of the Battle of Carentan with the son of Easy Company's very own George Luz! Will George Luz Jr. be able to clear the Germans from the outskirts of Carentan and pave the way for the rest of Easy company to advance, or will his get his father's miniature killed and cause some sort of wargaming-related time paradox? Join us as George Luz Jr. plays his first historical miniature wargame using One Hour Skirmish Wargames rules.
“Band of Brothers” theme cover was created for this video by the incredible John Zaccari. Check out his SoundCloud here: / user-891216281

Thanks Mark, that was touch-and-go the whole way for Luz. Thank God he made it! Matt and Alex were fierce opponents. Carl was a great partner. Sometimes it's just the luck of the draw.

So much to compliment: First, nice comments by George Luz Jr! You were lucky to have him! I also enjoyed how the game created a bit of tension. Finally, big compliments also to whoever painted the minis. Excellent detail of the rank/insignia on the sleeves - and they also managed to bring out the emotions with the facial expressions. I appreciate the hard work and attention to detail required to paint to this level - well done!

This was not only a fantastic battle report, but a wonderfully entertaining and informative session. These rules worked perfectly in portraying the scenario, were easy to understand what and when things happened. More reports like this please and thanks for this one.

This is a special honor to have watched. My grandfather Armin Brandt was a member of the 29th Infantry Division and received a Bronze Star for his actions during the war. He is the reason I went on to study military history in college and I know that through wargaming I am serving to keep history alive and sharing it with future generations. Game on!

Will need to buy this rule set. The opportunity to play with the old gang comes around very seldom and we could have more time to laugh and reminisce rather than fumble through charts and rules. Good video! Subscribed!

#1 comment I have to make is that the audio sucked in this video, the comments were barely audible. @08:04 I love George's reaction to the snide remark made by his American teammate against the opposing German team considering this is his 1st ever wargame experience, he totally gets it! I love how he encompasses the moments and is having fun even while reenacting actions his father undertook back in the day. @13:40 he wants to "save" his dad the "Radio Man" in the resurrection phase 💯 @15:08 "We're making progress" got to love his comments as 1st time wargamer. Great game and the rules set seems to work really well.

Enjoyed watching the play and the great looking figures and terrain. And hearing and seeing Lutz’s son. But don’t like the rules with the cards. Literally the luck of the draw and not enough gun capability and quality of troops having an influence. Will never use these rules.
Can we do better than BAND OF BROTHERS on D-Day?
