On June 26, Yemen's Houthi group released footage showing missile launches they claimed were aimed at the vessel 'MSC Sarah V' in the Arabian Sea. This followed their June 25 announcement of using a new ballistic missile to target the same vessel, taking responsibility for an attack that had been reported a day earlier. According to the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden Joint Maritime Information Center, on June 24, the Liberian-flagged vessel was targeted by a missile in the Arabian Sea but was not hit. The attack was believed to be motivated by a perceived Israeli association with the vessel. Yahya Sarea, the spokesperson for the Houthi group, asserted that the missile strike resulted in an "accurate and direct" hit on the ship, labeling it as "Israeli."
