Launched at APF 2022, Husqvarna's 540 XP Mark III promises to be a further evolution in the firm's chainsaw offering.
Available as either top- or rear-handled, they feature a range of improvements on previous versions, and are ideal for various arb work. They will be available in early 2023.
Hugo van Bijsterveldt, who was part of the Husqvarna team behind the new saws, tells us more.

Akkugeräte schön und gut ,aber es gibt einsatzbereiche wo die akkutechnik noch nicht so leistungsfähig ist deshalb find ich gerade die 40ccm 2taktsägen eine gute wahl in der forstwirtschaft und baumpflege

So how was the weight of the new model reduced ? What part or parts of the saw did you change from last model.. I now own one the T540 Xp mark lll with 14’ bar and it feels good to use it . The grip and weight is good . How long will it take to break it in ? Thank you for making a wonderful product .

Až nahradíte na řetězce pevnou hvězdici za prstýnek tak se dá uvažovat o koupi. Jinak si ji strčte do vitríny. Nemám čas ani chuť pořád nasazovat stržený řetěz.

I guess it depends on where you live. Here in Sweden it’s been sold for some months if I don’t mistaken.

Never had an XP rear handle in the 40cc class? My 242XP’s beg to differ. My 543XPG agrees with them too. Spot the man who doesn’t know what he’s talking about. ‘Runability and startability’. 100% a marketing goon.

with what is currently in demand, electric products for more technical jobs and professional outlooks is not seen as the future by many people, simply because all garden machinery brands are rushing to manufacture and promote their battery range, with this rush in production, a lot of battery equipment will be upgraded and/or become faulty very quickly, since if a new version comes out that is safer and better, the predesessors may not be compatible or suitable for the job at hand, and replacement parts for electric products are becoming increasingly expensive compared to more fuel efficient gas/petrol engines powered products (like Husqvarna's 'X-Torq' engines), especially if using the Husqvarna alkalyte fuel or aspen alkalyte fuel etc. in my opinion and with current standards/situations, some if not few electric products are the future and would be appropriate in their field like top handled chainsaws or robotic mowers, but for jobs that are intense and laborous, electric products dont stand a chance, for example, would you expect a battery ride on mower to last longer than a petrol/diesel powered version and cut a variety of grass and not malfunction consistently?
