Completely agree. Women refs are way quicker to call technical fouls. Men don't typically yell and cuss at women the way they might to other men, so females are quicker to get pissed when it happens on the court, where they have the ultimate authority on what happens. The refs in this game were atrocious.

The refs were atrocious. I don’t know I buy it was because they were women. One of them was a man and he was the worst of em. They could be capable refs who had a bad night or just planned on giving the home crowd a show instead of a blowout.

You also see it in this very play. Vucovic gives his frustration and comes very close to just brushing up against the female ref baseline and she like fucking stares him down like she was gonna tech him for that. Obviously, she remembered the script and realized it was a Bulls player and she's only supposed to tech Celtics haha. Shit is pathetic. Get them out. Y'all can ref WNBA. Let the guys ref NBA.

I think it was another new bunch of refs in a game last night where the lead referee had to overturn call after call because the refs were literally calling bullshit out of their feelings. Might have been the Atlanta v Charlotte game but idr.

The players were emotional, not the refs. That's why they get technicals. They can't shut up

@@asid448 Best comment I've seen in the thread so far, as a Chicagoan. Gotta understand, it is a League Rule that Chicago gets no calls. These Refs actually did a really good job, imo. They allowed hand-checking in a Boston vs Bulls old school matchup, let them play physical too. Everyone is saying 'soft ref' but this was a rough game. Tbh I think the Celtics were planning on getting no-calls and an easy win all night. As you said, square punch in the 2nd quarter set them back on their heels, and the Bulls defense didn't let them get going again until late in the 4th, too late. Of the two Ejections this is the only 'questionable' one. Chicagoans don't tend to tolerate barking at women like that.

@@beedeebee13 The refs this game were incredibly one sided, you cannot say that wasn't the case. What I mean by that is what the Bulls were getting calls for, the Celtics weren't, and it was blatant. One example: Tatum got a T for complaining to a ref and waving their hand at them. Sure whatever, it's weak, but they're enforcing it. Later on in this clip, you see Vucevic complain about the call with a ball in his hands nearly hitting the ref in the face. And what do they do? Absolutely nothing but eject Mazzula. There were plenty of calls that could've, and should've, been called BOTH WAYS. I'm not complaining about the outcome, the Celtics definitely didn't play to their standards and got ass whooped. I'm complaining about the complete and blatant one sided officiating that didn't help their cause which probably took their spirit to continue playing hard, because they couldn't

@@garrett1883 Oh I can deny it. Celtics were frustrated and started getting too physical. As I already stated, they let hand checking go and let them play ball. Really the Celtics had an advantage in that regard. Zach was getting hacked all game and got no call. All game. Even in the 90's you couldn't shove people. You can IMPEDE their movement with handchecking, you can't hold them or shove them to the ground. I will also say that it was the Bulls who took timeouts after both ejections too, to regroup. It's on film.

No Call. Bulls getting mad. Bulls start handchecking too. A MIRACLE Happens. The REFS allow the Bulls to Handcheck Too. Bostonians don't realize their team gets Hero-Ball Calls every day.
