Bates shares how Ted Bundy and other infamous criminals influenced her performance as Annie Wilkes. Stephen King reveals that ‘Misery’ made it into his top-five favorite movie adaptations.

Why was there no sequel? Similarly to how Saw 1 & 2 kinda intertwined with pre-sequel characters meeting the sequel characters to defend one another! This time: Samuel L. Jackson is held captive and has to fight for his life against a crazed fan of whatever his profession is in the movie and coincidentally, Paul is nearby and hears Sam screaming for help-- you get where I'm going.

Please God there should never be a sequel to this. Its a well-contained, one-off film. Annie Wilkes is dead and that's that.
