Similar thing here. Went from a high-paying job to having to ring up groceries. The economy swings wildly and you have to do what it takes! Keep it moving man!!

I agree. When you're doing something honest to put food on your table and keep the lights and water running and keep the mortgage/rent paid, hell yeah! There's no shame at all. I too am looking at any and all jobs that I'm qualified for, even jobs that some people would consider "pathetic". I left an IT job to get better hours. I even stayed so that they didn't have to search hard for a new person. And I'm still looking for a new job. When you work for an organization for more than 10 years and you do a lot of work for them, unfortunately it doesn't always seem to matter to them. I hope that I find an organization that TRULY appreciates LOYAL employees.
