More About Kohei Horikoshi: Kōhei Horikoshi (Horikoshi Kōhei, born November 20, 1986) is a Japanese manga artist known for creating the shōnen manga series Ōmagadoki Dōbutsuen, Barrage, and most recently My Hero Academia, all of which are or were serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump. Horikoshi is a graduate of Nagoya University of Arts and a native of Aichi Prefecture. He was a former assistant for Yasuki Tanaka, creator and author of the manga series Hitomi no Catoblepas and Kagijin.

It's needed in interpretation and translation to also interpret or translate those kind of things, a chuckle can change a lot in the context of a conversation.

@@e.t.566 Horikoshi's style seems kinda similar to a lot of shonen styles, but with some more emphasis on the eyes and smile. Lots of manga artists have a very similar style, with a few artists really breaking the mold with distinct styles. Some good examples are Araki (Jojo's) and Oda (One Piece).

Sylphlez , sketches are rough or unfinished drawings. Inking is more towards a finished outline look. Ah well doesn’t really matter. I clicked on the video hoping to see how his thought process worked when he sketches, but wasn’t to my expectation

He is my idol and my inspiration to try harder with my art. I fell in LOVE with My Hero Academia and I literally watch it everyday😅. And rewatch. Hopefully one day I'll be as good as he is at drawing.

Both deku and Kōhei Horikoshi emanate this sense of deservedness for their respective successes. Deku for earning one for all, and Kōhei’s worldwide recognition for such a beloved high quality property. Aka I’m glad he made this story lol

My favorite anime by far. the art style, the action scenes, the characters, and most importantly the way it is written flawlessly done all are amazing and why it's the best. To the creator if somehow this is translated to him I would say well done you inspired me to work hard and achieve my dreams. So to you I thank you.
