Even a cursory dip into the statistics of social and economic well-being reveals that Florida falls short in almost any measure that matters to the lives of its citizens. More than four years into the DeSantis governorship, Florida continues to languish toward the bottom of state rankings assessing the quality of health care, school funding, long-term elder care, and other areas key to a successful society. Florida may be the place where “woke goes to die”-as DeSantis is fond of saying-but it is also where teachers’ salaries are among the lowest in the nation, unemployment benefits are stingier than in any other state, and wage theft flourishes with little interference from the DeSantis administration. In 2021, DeSantis campaigned against a successful ballot initiative to raise the state’s minimum wage, which had been stuck at $8.65 an hour. Under DeSantis’s watch, the Sunshine State has not exactly been a workers’ paradise. Largely because of DeSantis’s obstinacy, Florida is one of 10 states that have refused to expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act, an act of political spite that has cost those states billions in federal health care dollars and cost thousands of people their lives. More than 12% of Floridians are without medical insurance, a worse record than all but four other states. Despite having the country’s highest percentage of retirees, Florida has the worst long-term care among the 50 states, according to the American Association of Retired Persons. Public schools fare no better than health care in DeSantis’s Florida. Not only did Florida rank 49th in the country for average teacher pay in 2020, but the Education Law Center, a non-profit advocacy group based in New Jersey, found in a 2021 report that the state had the seventh-lowest per-pupil funding in the country. Education Week, which ranks states public school annually, looking beyond mere test scores, placed Florida 23rd in its 2021 report, a lackluster showing for a large and wealthy state.

Desantis is the best governor. And he would make a great president too but I want Vivek for president over Desantis. I’ll keep voting for him for governor though!

You can’t vote for him as governor-he can’t run again. Just keep in mind Vivek was on the side of Dems with J6. Vivek also wanted everyone’s blood taken during Covid and only let you to be able to participate in society based on your biomarkers and he just happened to have that service in his business. He pushed this hard to Govt because he is friends with Trumps son in law. Vivek is a great talker and really his ideas are exactly the same as DeSantis but he just rambles on with every detail because it sucks ppl in. But it’s the same stuff. He has no experience getting the things done and the reason that DeSantis sticks out as great is because he actually gets stuff done and knows how to play the game. If you don’t know the process and aren’t slick like DeSantis then the swamp will make his head spin. Vivek won’t get anything done. You and i could just sit there rambling on about great stuff we would do but we couldn’t get it done. Vivek hasn’t even voted in his life but maybe once that’s proven. He’s a hype man. We don’t have time to waste and we need a guy that plays offense and DeSantis has turned from Amateur fighter to a superstar-like any fighter we need to get him in while he’s in the prime and be able to fix the Fed stuff that he didn’t have power to in Florida. Can’t get property insurance down as gov but can as Prez. The cost of rebuilding homes has to come down and that happens federally. Vote for who you want obviously but i can’t take a chance on a guy who has no idea what to do in politics and how to manipulate stuff and play offense. We can’t have Executive orders like Trump did because they just get ripped up -we need laws so it sticks. If you know a guy can build and has been successful then why try a guy who’s doesn’t know how? Would you do that if you had a business or a Doctor or real estate person or chef or as a babysitter or a Veterinarian or house remodeler,etc, Hell no so why gamble when we are so bad right now. If DeSantis could stay Gov then i could see just keeping him here but he can’t run again. We need him over the country because we are in trouble and what he couldn’t do as gov he can do as prez. We are so use to being safe here that people forget how bad it is other places so we think we aren’t that great. We are and we will get better if he fixes our other issues as Prez. Just think about it.

Really then why did he cancel his campaign events last year when that hurricane hit? He’s not even close to Biden he’s fought Biden attacks during Covid and the Democrats hate him.
