Lizzie Bell has a rare blood disease called Diamond-Blackfan anaemia. Her parents struggle to keep up with Lizzie's medical bills and house repair costs. Ty and his crew step in to rebuild the Bell family's home, which has cracked foundations, water damage, and termite and mould problems affecting Lizzie's health.

I am not allowed to donate blood in the UK Due to health issues, but my husband has, and my best friends daughter works for the blood service in the UK. I am on the organ donor register though, so hopefully when I die, someone will live on.

I really don't know what to say! As I'm fighting back tears! Lizzie is so grown up for her age, she's a stunning beautiful girl,knowing she could possibly die at anytime, dosent seem to fase her, she's so concerned about other children too! Always has a smile on her face too,I've NEVER EVER known a child her age with so so much courage! She says" it's only a needle dosent really hurt" yes they do a bit if you give blood easily, unfortunately I don't,so I'm used like a pin cushion! But this is not about me! Undoubtedly I due to medical conditions can't give blood,but I would if I could! The whole family are truly AMAZING! & All of what Lizzie has done & her awards! She just shines like the most bright star there is! Her father saying he had failed as a father for the state of the house! Bless him! As Edwardo told him! I'm in the UK,so LUCKILY we haven't got to pay for hospital treatment! Lizzie's bills are HUGE! So obviously came first! So for CPS pharmacy to donate $100,000 is a HUGE burden for the family! Now they also have a beautiful new home,a new car& knowing that everything possible has been done to the home to help with bills too,the solar panels etc etc,to think from a newborn baby having to have a needle put through her leg to give her blood,is heartbreaking! She's one strong teenager! So close the family is too, I'll NEVER FORGET Lizzie! That smile! Is so real! She NEVER once complained! I send ALL MY LOVE& HUGS TO ALL THE FAMILY & WISH LIZZIE A LONG LIFE OF HOPE AND EXCITEMENT AND TO LET HER KNOW! SHE'S A TRUE ANGEL! MAY THE GODS& GODDESSES BLESS YOU ALL, KEEP YOU SAFE AND WELL &MAY YOUS ALWAYS HAVE AN ANGEL BY YOUR SIDES..ENJOY A NEW BEGINNING XXX

There are things online about her up until 2017. She got a bone marrow transplant and the family still was in this house after ten years. Nothing in the last six years or how they did through the vivid pandemic though.

I found an article saying that they're still living in the same house, doing works through their John P. Bell foundation and blood donations, etc. Lizzie Bell's blood marrow transplant was a success and she's much healthier at the time of the article (she's 24 years old in 2019). She must be around 29 years old now, probably has her own career or even married. They seems like a genuinely good family, consists of genuinely good people... I wish them all the best!

Lizzie's body may be 14 years old, but Lizzie herself is way older and more mature than that. Used to donate plasma every 2 weeks and people often asked why I did it so often and I simply said for 2 reason. 1, because I can, and 2, because you don't. I reached 496 donations but had to stop because of sugar levels going bonkers.. I challenge people to beat me please. Just don't look at the needle as it is only a little prick.

I know it's selfish, but I am terrified of needles and have high anxiety which has weakened my immune system. But I have signed up for organ donation. I also wish there were more marrow offerings.
