Recession! Crash! Inflation! It’s getting depressing. I have about $100k in emergency fund and I have been seeing good news about the stock market and would like to gain from that since I can’t let my savings be corroded by inflation. What stocks should I into as a newbie to safely grow my money.

Its best if you buy growth/blue-chip/large caps stocks only. Also, as a newbie its advisable you work with an investment advisor to help set up a well-structured portfolio.

Apt!! I was self managing but suffered heavy losses in 2022 and i knew i couldn't continue like that, so i consulted a fiduciary financial advisor. By restructuring and diversifying my $620k portfolio with dividend-paying stocks, ETFs, Mutual funds and REITs, I significantly boosted my portfolio, achieving an annualized gain of 30%.

Firstly, rack your spending, identify areas to cut back, and free up money to weather inflation's storm. A financial consultant can help you analyze your budget and identify areas to cut back without sacrificing your lifestyle. They can also explore ways to boost your income through strategic investments. One client I worked with saw their portfolio grow by 12% last year, allowing them to build a buffer against inflation.

The news media are currently being inundated with economic meltdown news. It takes a lot to look past the sea of headlines and focus on what's important: No matter how low stock prices fall, they keep rising. I completely ignore all news and continue to invest. I recently set aside $40,000 to invest in the market as we anticipate a collapse. Do you have any suggestions?

The market will continue to fall, so I recommend you do a fundamental and technical analysis of the stocks of the companies you want to buy and their data forecasts for the next few years. Better yet, you could have an investment advisor help you restructure your entire portfolio and balance the bad apples you're holding. This strategy has worked for me so far, saved me a lot of stress, and is also very time efficient.

I completely agree, which is why I prefer to delegate daily decision-making to an investment adviser. It is difficult for them to underperform given their specialized knowledge and research, as well as the fact that every one of their abilities is geared toward utilizing risk for its asymmetrical potential, and mitigating risk of capital loss. I've been working with an investment advisėr for over two years, and have made over a quarter million dollar. It's really beneficial.

I foresee a recession lasting 2-3 years, and if inflation continues to surge, the Federal Reserve will likely raise interest rates soon. Inflation is causing various issues worldwide, such as food shortages, scarcities of diesel and heating fuel, and significant spikes in housing prices, leading to a potential financial market crash. This global downturn could have long-lasting repercussions. Given the current inflation rate of approximately 9%, my main worry is how to optimize my savings and retirement fund, which has remained stagnant at around $300,000, yielding almost no gains for quite some time.

Numerous opportunities exist to achieve substantial profits at present, but executing high-volume and nearly flawless trades requires the expertise of real-time professionals with an ISDA Agreement. This agreement allows investors to participate in sophisticated trades, exclusive to seasoned individuals, and unavailable to amateurs. Attempting to be a high-stakes trader without an ISDA is akin to trying to win the Indy 500 riding a llama.

The truth is that this is really not as difficult as many people presume it to be. It requires a certain level of diligence, no doubt, which is something ordinary investors lack, and so a financial advisor often comes in very handy. My friend just pulled in more than $84k last month alone from his investment with his advisor. That is how people are able to make such huge profits in the market.

Like Warren Buffet said, dividends are only good if the business you're investing into can't make good use of that capital. So, if you're trying to invest in businesses with actual growth, looking at dividends is a waste of time. Why are you investing into a company if they're returning capital to you because they think you can make better use if it than they can. It's not much different from bond investing. The way I see it, if you have a $1 million at some point, that'd be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between 50k - 70k in dividend income...

The economic metrics for the US economy are quite strong if you care to actually look at the facts - you can research it yourself on the web so no need to take Luke Skywalker's or any other potentially biased individual's word for it. Here are some key metric comparisons for 2020 when Trump left office and now: US Real GDP: Annual Growth Rate 2020: -2.8% 2024: +2.7% (based on current stat.s) US Labor Market Annual Job Growth Rate 2020: -9.4 million 2024: +4.8 million US Labor Market Unemployment Rate 2020 (4-yr ave.): 4.2% (excluding COVID) 2024 (4-yr ave.): 3.4% Disposable personal income, after inflation 2020 (Feb.): 15.7 Trillion 2024 (Feb.): 16.9 Trillion Dow Jones Industrial Average 2020 (Feb.): 29,000 2024 (Feb.): 37,000 A 2-minute web search also shows that US Debt has consistently risen since the 1980's regardless of whether Republicans or Democrats are in the White House cf www.statista.com/chart/1505/americas-debt-ceiling-dilemma/.

I grew up watching lots of animated cartoons during the 1980s - and many of them were animated in Japan, due to the low cost of the Yen which made Japanese goods and services, including their animation studios, cheap in relation to the dollar. I always missed those cool cartoons I used to watch, and was disappointed to learn that more could not be made due to the Yen having become so expensive in relation to the dollar. Now that the Yen is falling again, I hope that toymakers and comicbook publishers alike will look to see if they can reach out to those talented Japanese animation studios to get more content from them, thanks to the lower cost of the Yen.

Our economy is like a flailing fish, fighting for its life. The normal state of the U.S. economy is actually very bad. Because of this it goes into convulsive spasms fighting to grow any way it can out of desperation.
