When people faint, there are usually a number of phsyical symptoms before hand because the body does not typically drop for no reason. Blood can shunt from your brain for lots of reasons, one thing I've noticed with all these recent videos is that there is no prior indicators or appearance of feeling unwell before they drop.

Seems to me Truss' reaction shows lack of medical training. Those implying that immediately rendering assistance would have been appropriate, rather than take 5 seconds to process what just happened, that they must all be medically proficient -- or perhaps not!

Meaning simply that, she's not medically trained. Are you? I'm not. But the security teams of both will be, we all can't be good at everything, well, perhaps you can, I don't know you. The more I read your second sentence the more confusing it sounds. Are you meaning, "should all be medically proficient" when you say, "must all be medically proficient"? It's confusing.

It is not a good idea for a regular person to immediately render assistance without a few seconds thought, as it is easy to do something that might make the situation worse. Taking, say, 5 seconds to see if someone is around who is proficient in medicine and can take the lead is a good and sensible caution. PS. Not medically proficient, but I read a lot of medical items.

For instance, what would you have done after rushing to the side of the collapsed lady? While you are guessing, time is being wasted that could have been used to get the assistance of those who know what to do and what not to do. In fact, in watching TV medics who attend emergency calls outside hospital settings, I've yet to see them break from a measured walking pace. Clearly, they are thinking ahead of the procedures they will need to apply. The only time I've seem medics run is in a hospital setting where monitors have sounded to alert of a medical emergency and where experts are immediately at hand.
