For anyone wondering, 3 of these people are average people who were chosen for this mission. The 4 crew members only met just 6 months ago, and all have very unique stories. This mission also raised 200M for St. Jude, they also have plenty of experiments to help with cancer research. Truly an inspirational mission.

I would not say a Physician’s Assistant , A geologist an engineer and a billionaire are average people🤦‍♂️ nor would I classify them as your average run of the mill civilians. When we have factory hands and truck drivers flying into space then I’ll accept the term civilian crew but these guys are far from being average run of the mill civilians.

The fun part is that rocket just lifted off from the same pad as both of those rockets, they just need a lot of 21 century upgrades. It’s amazing how something’s stay the same through generations of rockets, long live lc39a

Native Floridian, in all of my 50 years of watching these shuttles/rockets take off, (Sadly had entire school go out and watch Challenger meet a horrible fate, I remember the explosion being too big, the fire, and all of us knowing something was wrong 😔 To, regular launches both day and night. ). Basically the rocket went off , you could spot it, see the booster engine drop off, then …. Waited till it was shortly out of sight…… This, was unlike anything I’ve ever seen…..😳 it light up the sky with an amazing and satisfying light show, almost Aura type red at first , then blue and silver , huge lights trailing in the sky. You could so clearly see the “driving devices” poofing away, Then…… it appeared to be going back down 🥺 Nope, they were happily in space “rounding” the Earth in orbit. We watched it live with the internet information at the same time. I think everyone around my age, would have to agree, this was tech, as I’ve never seen it before, I hope many others got to watch it with the same stunning beauty I saw. Take care everyone, so happy for the team,

It depends at which point in the flight they’re at. I found graphs for falcon 9 cargo missions and it looks like it peaks out at 6g (+1g earth) but only for a few seconds before MECO and then the stage 2 burn appears to be around 1g with decreasing pull from earth as they go into free fall I imagine
@wenzelkinsky2827
@wenzelkinsky2827 2 жыл бұрын
To summarise the hardest point to move at all would be between 90 and 160 sec as it goes from 1.5g to 6g
@matt4796
@matt4796 2 жыл бұрын
They were lifting their arms and lowering them a few times at 4g.. if your arm weighs 10lbs that’s just a 40 lb lift, and it’s distributed along your arm. Not as difficult as holding 40 pounds in your hand. Edit: Also, consider the angle they lifted their arm is perpendicular to the gforce because of how they are seated with their back to the rocket.
