Watch the John Lewis Christmas ad 2017

6 жыл бұрынThis year's advert features Moz, a huge, snoring under-the-bed monster with puppy dog eyes. The director behind Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Michel Gondry, was called in to make the two-minute ad. Aside from working with middle England’s favourite shop he is known for his video collaborations with artists including Radiohead, Björk and Daftpunk. The soundtrack to the advert is a classic Beatles song, Golden Slumbers from the 1969 Abbey Road album, re-recorded by rock band Elbow.

I was in intensive care recovering from an operation for Ovarian cancer and my partner was traveling back to the hospital to see me when this came on the radio ....he was at the traffic lights by the hospital and sat and cried....on the day I came out of hospital and he was taking me home still poorly...this came on the radio again we both cried...it is our song now ...I listen to it when I’m having a bad day 💖💕💖

It’s not Christmas but I’m just here in summer re watching this advert a few times after a while and I’ve seen it a few times from when it first came out but it’s still just a lovely advert to watch It’s like one of those peaceful adverts that can put someone to sleep it’s so relaxing and lovely.

Christmas 2017 adverts: Debenhams - Black man / White woman; Marks and Spencer - Black father / White mother; John Lewis - Black father / White mother. I can't quite put my finger on it, but there seems to be a common theme running through those three adverts ......

When we have a total of 24 John Lewis adverts.someome should produce a advent calendar and each door contains a little figure/memory of the main focus of that advert. For example door 2 might be the monster from this ad and the door might say *2017*
