This has a real homie vibe, just seeing all these cats I'm familiar with together reminiscing and having a good time. Shit's beautiful.

I like how you can tell the influence Saurus and Illmac has on each other’s styles. Feels like Illmac influenced Saurus to get more cerebral with the rhymes while Saurus influenced Illmac to be more technically proficient in the rhyme structure.

So glad this watch could happen with Illmac and thesaurus in the house. This has always been my favorite battle, and I love the honesty/humility of both those guys. Also, despite Illmac's OT being the most memorable round of the battle, his 2nd has the most replay-ability. I'm glad Avo picked up on that

When Dunsh and The Gawd E. Farrell dropped, and they had that 5 round 16 bar banger, everyone from Saurus to Marv had mentioned how they wanted to get jiggy in that format, and then all the talk had gotten stale, or faded completely. I think this needs to be brought up, and possibly Ruin Your Day could get an entire card jumpin' with this format, with co-main events being Saurus vs. Farrell, and Geechi vs Marv. Just a killer thought....

Looking back on it I actually like thesaurus shit I think he had more shit that hit but Illmac’s biggest lines were harder than Pete’s. Just some good quality time. It's 2018 and Mac lethal's KZfaq raps get more views then most battles. Its legendary to see these guys in the same room so recent. " You're going bald and your trying to hide it! " I forget the rappers name. He lost to Juice in 2003. But I liked that line because whether naturally or on purpose . Mac Lethal is bald . dos noun?

I remember when this battle was first announced I didn't think it was real. To me this changed the culture for ever. Battle rap wouldn't be what it is today if it wasn't for these two and this battle. Mount Rushmore shit no debating. Not only for a coast but the entire culture. I always enjoy these more when there are fewer people at the table, 3 seems to be optimal, with 4 there tend to be 2 pairs having their own conversation, with 5 or more overyone is just shouting over each other and it sucks audio-wise. And this time around video audio and room audio was almost the same, so when people talked over the video you could understand neither. Other than that: Dope show.
