Hoped the fans enjoyed it and realized how precious a World Series Championship is .... very likely none of them saw another one the rest of their lives! Washington wouldn't win another title for an amazing 95 years!

It sure looks like they did. I love that the joy and exuberance of winning a championship was just as strong in people all those years ago as it is today if not moreso. You can see guys running out of the Senator dugout and leaping in the air with joy as the winning run scores, to say nothing of all those fans storming the field and waving their pennants. It looks like a grand old time unless you were a Giants fan.

Technically it's 63 years before they won again. This franchise eventually moved to Minnesota and changed their name to the Twins.

Between 1905 and 1955, the Senators were also called the “Nationals.”

For those confused, there were two Senators franchises, both in the American League. The Senators/Twins, an original American League franchise dating to 1901, and the later Senators/Rangers, who came into the league in 1961. The current team, the Nationals, are a National League team and have nothing to do with the two American League teams. Consider the career of Camilo Pascual. He played for both Senators teams. When the original Senators went to Minnesota, he went with them. He played 13 years for that team and compiled a 145-141 Win-Loss record. He was later traded to the NEW Senators, played for them three years and compiled a 27-27 record. Those 27 wins are not added to the 57 wins he won with the original Senators before they moved to Minnesota. The 57 wins he got for the original Senators are added to the 88 he won for the Twins, making 145 wins for the Senators/Twins franchise. The 27 he won for the new Senators are his record for the Senators/Rangers franchise. The Senators/Twins have won 3 World Championships. This one was the first. They also won in 1987 & 1991. They have won six American League pennants (1924-25-33-65-87-91). The Senators/Rangers have won 0 championships. That's how it goes down in the official baseball record book.

This team eventually moved to Minnesota 1961 and a new expansion team came to Washington right away (1962) . But they also moved after 1971 season to Texas. Then after 33 years no baseball Washington got the Montreal expos team in 2005 who are now Washington Nationals. They won a world series in 2019. Was so excited i could cry as a long time fan 😀

Hold up. If I read correctly, this team moved to Arlington in 1961 and became the Rangers who still don’t have a World Series title. But if the Senators relocated shouldn’t this championship count for the Rangers ? Yet the Twins get credit for this one?
