Bong cloud is recoverable if you know what you’re doing

Even when a GM has knight odds it is difficult for the GM to survive vs a top engine.

Another counter that can be tried is 2.e4 as done by Leela or 2.g3. I now feel confident to play white against 2.f5. I have had struggles facing the Dutch opening in the past. The Houdini opening books shows +0.33 1.d4 2.f5, but after this video I feel it is better. I avoid early flank pawns playing black, but may try every now and then in faster time controls.

A fantastic strategy well explained. I have never played much dutch, but will still sometimes in the hope that something as beautifulas Bogolyubov Alekhine can be created from the chaos. Thanks Josip and keep up the good work.

It's well known nowadays that you have to avoid this move order as black when playing leningrad, if your opponent plays 3. nc3 you gotta expect h4 next, the move is 3. d6, which would make h4 kinda useless as you haven't played g6 (next you go g6 nbd7 etc)

Oh my, a brutal destruction of the Leningrad Dutch. Used to like this one with ...c6 and ...b6 but it looks like there's no time to move these. Computer programs are ripping reputable openings apart.

This is just Leningrad variation of Dutch not all Dutch I think.

I picked this position in the book because many human players try to still go with the f5-g5 push against c4-Nc3, in masters and amateur games alike. But the h4 thrust , included in the pre-arranged opening, looked devastating, and Stockfish proved why.

Enjoyed this game so much! Excellent explaining thx. Interesting is with Dutch defense, if you let Stockfish 13 analyses a whole day over 50 ply it chooses lg5 as second move!

Jozarov sir your bullet games on lichess are amazing to watch. Sometime you lose winning positions and miss simple tactics being a cm. By the way you are beast in blitz games.

I keep fighting. Sometimes I Winn also games against gm and Im, but I really miss simple wins to many times I think in bullet game. you noticed that well

@@Jozarovschesschannel Could be due to overplaying, especially with short time limits. It can allow for bad habits to creep in. Just a personal observation, of course not suggesting this is the case for you.

Unless I'm losing my mind, at 14:30 you had black go Qxg5 and then white going f4. Mate on f7 looks a lot easier!

Stockfish has a 2.5 point lead with one game less. Leela is on the second place, dragon third and Stockfish classic 4th
