I have had similar events even with .308 in that system. The simple solution is a vanishingly thin film of CLP oil on each of the cartridges. Just lube your finger tips sligthly while you load the mag. The real problem is that some factory cartridges have brass that is slightly sticky...one cartridge will not slide fully freely over the next one down. Fuller mags have more stacked spring pressure, deterring clean brass-on-brass sliding...and causing the moving round to nosedive slightly because of the friction == feed jam shown in video. With the vanishingly small amount of oil, the brass/brass friction disappears. I can feed/extract all 10 no problem from PMags. This has been easy and foolproof. I developed this approach using commercial loads in my Mosin and SKS, whose brass is often polymer coated = sticky same way as here. Thin film of oil makes it all work beautifully.

Try using the 308 mags for the RPR or Scout rifle… I had the same issue out of the magpul mags. Fixed the issue with the RPR mag

CLP sir. Baby it, love it clean it. I haven’t had any issues with mine. My bolt is wet whenever I go to the range.

Send it back to Ruger. Mine did the same. The barrel face probably hasn't been polished down enough and the bullet catches on the feed ramp and the ridges on the back of the barrel. Send it back to Ruger.

no, it's OK. i just stopped using cheap Czech ammo. no issues with quality ammo.

I have the gun and had the problem - Buy the MDT metal magazine. Problem is the ruger factory magpul magazine is too loose in the magwell and it rocks forward when chambering.

I don't know ... My Magpul mags work fine once I use Federal Premium ammo in 130 grain.

@@HHTV60 I cannot speak for your situation but maybe there's a physical difference in the ammo tip where you've found an advantage. We found when the mag rocks forward, it drives the nose of the round down where it catches and jams. The MDT fits tighter and the rounds don't drive down but go smoothly into the chamber. We've shot quite a few different types of ammo with this new mag and no issues. Kinda sucks Ruger hasn't addressed this mag issue by supplying something that fits properly.

Try trimming down the magazine holding lips little at a time until the ammunition gradually changes angle

I have over 700 rounds in and never have experienced this issue. I did smooth out the bolt, the machining is horrible.

As i discovered the problem is with the Ammo. i show in the other video how the problem was solved COMPLETELY when I bought a pack of premium ammo from Federal. Try 130 gr Gold Medal Federal Premium. I was ready to send in my rifle for service, but decided to try a better ammo, AND all jamming issues went away. That Sellier & Belloit 140 gr 'Tactical' is total junk. I even bought a 10 round Magpul mag, and despite what Magpul says on their website, even this bigger mag works perfect with the 6.5CM AS LONG AS (very important!) you use premium ammo!!! the bullet is riding the profile of the bullet below and since there is an exagerated difference between the case and the bullet in the 6.5 creedmor its diping down.

What color is the bottom of the mag there are two colors one green and one a light brown one of the mags was not good so they modified it

The problem was with the cheap 140 grain Czech Republic ammo. All problems went away when I switched to 130 grain Federal Premium.

no, it's not the mag. in my case, it was the bad cheap ammo from Belloit and Sellier.

Nailed it! Cheap ammo consistently sours the name of many firearm manufacturers. Outside of the 7.62x39 ammo, I stick with domestic ammunition because of the levels of quality control that goes into it. Nearly anything manufactured with the 7.62x39 chambering will eat any ammunition including imported. Not saying there’s any 100% success rate but they do tend to run even on the junk stuff.
