Watch this before playing Villa-Lobos Etude 1

If you have been playing Classical Guitar for a bit of time, Villa-Lobos' Etude 1 is a piece sure to be in your sights. In this video, I'll give you guidelines about the piece and how to study it. I used a beginning student guitar at the end of the presentation to give you a sense of what you could expect when playing this piece with a student guitar.

He estado batallando muchísimo con mano izquierda, dejé de tocar y ahora he retomado, pero me duele muchísimo la cejilla, espero sea por las cuerdas de tensión alta, porque ya me habían rebajado el hueso, pero e s un excelente material, maestro!!!

Could you do a lesson on correct free stroke release? Seems to be a lot of confusion in the Classical guitar world as to whether the finger immediately empties out or is held in the palm of the hand.

Personally, I don't. I prepare each finger individually. However, it is possible to do that.

@@jorgecaballeroguitarist Yes, I see. I watched your hand at the end. I find planting the a finger tenses the hand up if you are not careful. Better to get it all sequential like you are doing.
