Watch this before using the training guide!

The training guide is a great tool for newer players, but it's not perfect. Let's discuss where it can be improved.

I think it makes sense for the guide to recommend a leveled weapon. Because even if the character scales off of something like HP, the weapon sub stat still matters for most characters, like on Yelan, a lvl 90 fav will do more damage than lvl 1 because EOSF utilizes energy recharge for burst dmg.

You are right for yelan on emblem it would increase her burst damage by like 10% from LVL 1 to 90, but the point still stands it's not a main priority. Agreed it's not bad advice to level, but just wanted to point out that it's not necessary sometimes.

If you’re using Yelan on favonious and is overlapped on ER. Switch to less ER artifacts and lvl up your weapon. Getting more ER is more damage on hp scaling characters because they can get their ultimate up faster. If you’re overlapped on er . You’re building your character wrong.

Yea that's fair, but I just wanted to show people that just levelling a weapon won't necessarily improve damage. It's more nuanced than just level a weapon up. In this case they would have to swap artifacts to see more damage.

I disagree with the second point. where your yelan (as high investment) would have a significant amount of damage increases-from say talent levels, artifacts- the weapon level becomes less noticeable. the big however, is that the guide is aimed for newer players, where 1. talents and artifacts require more investment (in terms of resin and mora), 2. this similar dmg gain can be achieved through weapon levelling. this is why a lot of guides aimed at lower investment players recommend levelling a weapon first (and also why the guide places the weapon as 2nd priority- assuming left to right).

I literally was talking to a friend about this cuz this guide suggested Primordial jade cutter on Kuki. And I think the guide always put 5* over 4* when the 4* is better. I help my friend build her sets cuz she followed the guide for some characters and I was like, "No. Don't do this set, there are better sets for that character that is better to farm"
