There are way too many DeFi hacks and exploits these days where regular investors lose a lot of money. So I dove into 5 recent cases of DeFi projects getting hacked and came away with 10 lessons learned to share with you. Hopefully these can help us all become savvier investors so we can minimize the risk of losing money from these hacks and exploits of projects/protocols that we may use or invest in.

This is such a great video. Very useful indeed! I'm glad that I took the necessary precautions when I invested in DeFi projects back then. From all of the project that I have used, Ramp DeFi is the one the really stood out as it helped me earn a lot of passive income. You should check it out and maybe feature them in your future video. @@hqcart1 look up Tornado cash, it's a popular mixer. It basically hides your deposits and withdraws with many others by only allowing you to transact with pre-determined amounts (ie .1 eth, 1 eth, 10 eth etc). Obv there's a lot more to it, but that's the basic idea

@@digitalworkshop yeah there was an exploit in the smart contract the dev team tried to cover up but never fixed just removed on front end. It allowed the oracle price of LunC to be set at new Luna price of $9. And people collateral with this. They got 6 UST per 1 LunaC when it should be mircoincrements. With this they effectively drained the pools of mEth, mDot, mBtc and slowly draining every pool in Mir.

But first ask yourself what is the avantage to have pool in comparison to have a order book like serum defi protocol? I my point of view pool give more liquidity for Big transactions and penalize small by the spread... So why take risk in a pool give them possibility to accumulate by arbitrage?

I honestly wouldn't trust defi insurance. Even with regulated insurance, companies are always trying to screw over customers any way they can. I can only imagine how much worse it can be for something unregulated like insurance for defi. Anyone recommending it, I would tread cautiously with anything else they say.
