My opinion the best time to start your locks September or October during the winter months by the time the summer gets here you should be okay

I’ll be 8 months loc’d on 8/6. Its the best decision I’ve ever made! I feel like right now I’m at a standstill as far as my new growth locking but there’s still lots of progress.

Your locs are beautiful some on here saying their scared I was to cause I was so used to long weave but watching videos on locs and seeing the outcomes I did it!!!! Almost at 4 year mark and past my shoulders!!If you want natural long hair loc up ladies and don't be afraid!!

This quarantine got me all jacked up - digging through my glAm bag right now looking for my lip liners and brown lipstick - your makeup is breathtaking ...I’m up about to embrace my 5 day Locs and hope that look as gorgeous as yours . Sis ,what lip color is that ? It’s beautiful on you💄I completely agree with starting your own because I’ve been a traditional stylist for years and I am nervous with someone else determining my parts.

:) great video. I'm gona loc my daughters hair tomorrow and we were washing and talking today and I'm really looking forward to knowing her locs as well as she does, she has this 1 tuft of blonde hair in all of her black hair and we are going to make a special loc out of it so she can always find it. I'm sectioning but I'm hoping to try to work with her natural curl as much as possible I want it to do what it wants to do and I'm just going to encourage it. So I'm really going to take my time, her hair looked like urs b4.... 4c. I figured we can start small and if she wants to combine later we can. Between extra small and small. But I'm wondering if we twist to lic like urs how much difference in thickness do u think u experienced... not dense but size? Baby girls gonna need 300 to 600+ locs. Y we are doing it, kids got lots of hair. She wants to put it up herself hates all the braid time and by middle school wants to wash it herself.

Thats crazy what u s the odds of finding someone with the same loc count 68 ..but mines are starter ones ..im only keeping them in for 4 to 6 months or till next spring going to go back to twists N curls etc

Your hair shouldn't determine what kind of job you have... if that's the case you shouldn't want to work there or you're not ready🤷🏾‍♀️ locs are not just a hairstyle it's a way of life... if I could tell you how much I've changed mentally physically and especially spiritually just by locking my hair...
