Great review. Last year I started going to Vegas on my own (husband and I stayed at Bellagio for years) and I started staying at Luxor. I loved it each time. I loved that it felt SO big - especially in the atrium - even when the hotel was somewhat crowded. On my last trip I dined at Tender - and it was wonderful. Just as good as Prime or Gallagher's or Craftsteak. Diablo's Cantina was fantastic as well. Though I would have loved that they kept the Egyptian theming, I like that the pyramid rooms are renovated. I've only stayed in the tower - and those rooms were excellent. Thanks for the review!!

Staying here for New Years to go see the raiders play. Always wanted to stay there when I was a kid so I’m pretty excited. Can’t wait!

A couple of years ago I booked a room for my mom when I took her to vegas with us, and they gave her a ground floor room behind backstage deli. It was actually very nice and she loved that she didn't have to walk 500 miles to get to the casino floor. She said it was quiet at night and she very seldom saw many people lurking near by. Her view wasn't great, but she had been to Vegas before and that didn't matter to her.

In todays new casinos just being big and fancy I love Luxor. Luxor is the old Vegas. Its what I love about Vegas. I like going to places like this so I can be takin somewhere I haven't been before. That is the great thing about all the casinos that have a theme. But great video.

Thank you for the good review. I actually like Luxor very much especially pyramid side rooms. If you can stay on a higher floor, the inside of the pyramid is hollow, so the sounds from the shopping center and attractions below reverberate through the pyramid, making it mysterious and giving the illusion that you are really in an Egyptian bazaar when you walk down the corridor to the elevators. I love that feeling. The rooms, food, and casino may be of a lower grade, but they are adequate for my stay, so I wouldn't expect perfection. The food is simple and folksy enough for me, rather than staying in another upscale hotel and paying $100 for dinner. I'd like to walk around and exsize, and the important thing is to win at the casino around Luxor. I plan to stay in Luxor in this May again and will walk around looking for good casino during the daytime🤣

Such a good vlog! I wouldn’t mind at all if I was just going w/ a group of friends and just needed a place to put my things and rest a bit. The first time I walked thru this place I heard the rumor that its haunted. But if I’m saving money I’ll risk it 😂

Clean room, decent price - you nailed it! Stayed here inadvertently back in 2017 and have kept coming back. Nothing fancy but the Tower rooms work for me better than a lot of the competition. Would 100% go back at the rates they offer (plus no resort fee is a bonus)

Have stayed in the Luxor Tower rooms several times since 2017. Room has always been clean and comfortable at a fair price. Luxor is close to several other properties and has plenty of food and entertainment options within a reasonable walk. Will stay there again when in Vegas

Luxor is awesome. Stayed Christmas weekend 3 nights. Clean room and excellent service. Buffet open. Yea. Used some Pop Slots comps. Stay at Luxor 3x a year. Great staycation.

I stayed here just before Covid hit and it was good. I enjoyed the cheesy decor and weird elevator. The distance between resorts is no big deal, grab the bus or monorail .Glad to hear it’s still clean and good value.

Stayed at the Luxor November 2021. This price was lower than the most of the Casino/Hotels on the Strip when I was booking my trip. It was good value for the money and close to Mandalay Bay, Excalibur, MGM, New York New York, Allegiant Stadium, T-Mobile Arena.

I like this property a lot. I usually can take the tram to excalibur and at the 2nd excalibur stop, your right on the corner of the blvd. There’s a tram at park Mgm which I take and get to Bellagio. Not bad at all of walk actually with the tram system and monorail

We stayed there under 2 weeks ago and agree with the aircon going mad however we found it a great place, close to the airport for our onward cruise from LA and easy to get on the free trams between hotels. If you get off at Excalibur and walk up to mgm Park there's another free tram that takes you to Bellagio. The trams at the MGM with the lion opposite New York are not free. We enjoyed the Luxor however being on the 22nd floor was a lengthy walk to the lifts each time, as you say. Way too much walking but we survived our 4 nights 3 days

I booked Luxor for May for my first time in Vegas and I didn't look at any reviews cause it was so iconic I was like it's gotta be decent. Caved and looked at videos that were all super critical over things they've heard but it's really nice to see a recent review of actually staying IN the room!

I walked through here during my stay at Delano last month. It felt a bit dark in there, but I did like the decor and theming. I’m coming back in October for a show at house of blues and am gonna stay at Luxor. I had booked my last trip in a standard room at Mandalay Bay, and was pleasantly surprised that they had moved me to the Delano. Much closer to the venue than my original room would’ve been, and it was quieter there. I’m glad to finally see a good review of the pyramid rooms. I usually see reviews in the tower, and I was curious about the pyramid rooms. Seems decent enough for a budget option. I also walked the strip on my last trip and it was a long walk. Went from Mandalay Bay to Mirage, stopping at Paris and Caesar’s along the way.

Great review. Luxor is on my Radar since my last stay at the Flamingo was not great.

We’re staying at Luxor at the moment… as a matter of fact I’m typing this comment from a pyramid room. There’s a lot going on here, easy access over to Mandalay Bay and Excalibur. Then jump across to NYNY. We only paid about 100 a night for the room and so far we’re having fun. My only gripe is the lack of Baccarat tables OR electronic baccarat in the casino.

The property is older and it shows. needs a facelift. but I was happily surprised at how much I enjoyed it there. wish we had more time to explore it. but yeah. want the basics for a cheap price. this your place.

The room looked very super clean and in good shape (have to admit I was a little surprise considering the age of the Hotel)....for me, that is usually the most important consideration when choosing a place to stay.

Stayed at luxor in May for 8 nights first time in vegas , from the UK, got married there too, we loved it yes bit of a walk too the centre but it was all new too us so we was just loving being in vegas, hope too come back one day,,,

Arrived after a red eye flight from Dallas at 12:45 a.m. had reservations told that they were sold out but they upgraded us to a gambler sweet as a regular Vegas customer it was one of the Great Moments in my travels stayed at the Luxor 7:00 or 8:00 more times in the 90s always had a great time and a clean room and the slots were pretty loose also

Stayed in a one bedroom pyramid suite two weeks ago. The one bedroom suites are at the top of the pyramid so the walk from the elevator is short no matter where your room is. Cost me only $343 total for three nights. The $343 was total, with resort fees included.

So far still my fav spot in Vegas, been a few times and first time I got roughly this guys type of room where it's as far from the inclinator as you could be. I like walking so wast that big of a deal, is to bad they don't have another on the opposite corner.

I stayed there in Dec 2021, room was fine but the food options downstairs closed early, also vegas in general wasn’t truly open 24hr, most bars seemed to close by midnight or earlier, so not the vegas I expected.

I was just at the Luxor last Thursday into Friday. I had the most amazing time in the hotel and for my stay. I was on the 38 Floor in the Pyramid.

The catch with the Luxor pool is with no shade/cover cuz of the pyramid, when the wind blows, the pool is the first place all that sand and debris go

Stayed in the Luxor in the late 80’s. Loved it. Now, it has definitely aged. But still not too bad.

It’s here several times because of the rate it’s a great safe place to stay because you have some not so expensive places to eat also Lyft or Uber is super easy to get plus there’s a tram to the Mandalay bay or to the Excalibur and easy walk to New York New York and MGM or the M&M Coca-Cola area. Don’t wanna take a ride share you can walk to the park MGM and there’s a trim from there to the crystals mall and the Bellagio. Friendly service and yes I had a problem with the AC in my room and they came once I called to fix it as well.

Luxor is my wife and I hotel of choice we have stayed here many times , with no issues,plenty of amenities, we ate at the luxor buffet for both breakfast and dinner great selection of a variety of food choices , also ate at the food court on the upper level, for meals daily ,not disappointed at all ,all in all luxor is a great hotel .pat s

We did a room tour of Luxor a while back, but we didn’t stay the night. We might stay a few days on our next trip and I was worried you were going to talk us out of it with this video. But, other than the minor a/c issue, it seems like a decent place to stay. We’re not sure why this property has such a bad reputation. We thought the room was very nice. Oh, and we wouldn’t be in any pool with a thousand other people either!

That room you had is the pyramid premier, it is ok, my complaint is the shower only has a half glass, so a lot of water splashes out when I shower, should have full glass doors instead. I still prefer the tower rooms better, even the basic tower king, and tower elite or tower one bedroom is very affordable even comes with free coffee and coffee maker

Good vlog, but wish you had given a breakdown of the room cost & resort fees etc. I stayed there about 8 years ago, it was fine, the furniture was a bit run down and scratched up. If I stayed there again I would stay in a tower room, which I have heard good things about.

Stayed at Luxor back in March because it was a last minute choice due to us changing our flight date. My thoughts: Great if you're on a budget looking for low rate rooms. Nice Egyptian sculptures and exhibits (loved Titanic). But that's about it. No USB outlets in our room. Drove me fkn mad...lol 🤦🏾‍♀️ Like, what rooms in 2023 aren't equipped with USB outlets?! The basic room should have this. Overall, the hotel is just too dark for my liking. Hallways are too dark. Everything is dark..lol. Not a fan of the elevators operating on a tilted slant. Location is just too far south on the strip. This hotel is a HARD pass for me, just my opinion. Luckily we only had to stay one night. Aria was our main stay and that hotel was heaven for us!! I HIGHLY recommend that hotel if you can fit it into your budget.

Never walk barefoot on a hotel room.The former guest had a foot and toenail fungus, the fungus has been shed all over the carpet, no vacuum cleaner can get rid of the fungus, protect yourself or ask for a room without carpets.

I can't believe you didn't mention the free tram that stops right outside the hotel which takes you to the heart of the strip so there is no need to take that long walk when you can just ride the free tram and walk the rest of the way.
