The engine is pretty much the same with my Chevrolet Nubira/ Lacette from 2010. Will be giving this a try tomorrow.

Hey Ali, This is an excellent video. But, here is something I learned. When I used Sam's Store economy gasoline for awhile I get the camshaft code. If I use regular gasoline from almost any national brands the camshaft code and check engine light goes away. I don't understand what the connection is between the two, but some gas brands trigger this check engine light code.

I guess pinging due to bad quality fuel is causing the timing to compensate and possibly flagging the fault.

And what is the problem if the hold lamp appear at speed of 80 and more then the gear stop shifting to the next speed and after awhile the lamp of engine appear too.

this is very known issue with this engines. mines goes bad on 130k km. And cheap ones doesnt last long. You must use gm ones

if they were all that easy! I have a Code 400 for restricted air flow on EGR valve. Bought new one but have to fully remove throttle body to get at it!!

Thanks for video man. I have replace sensor on sam car and engine i delete faults. But after 1 or 2 days of driving i get again same error and check engine light? This is DOHC engine is there mby 2 sensors or what seems to be problem? Thanks

It says crankshaft sensor on P0335. And yet you changed the camshaft sensor. Which is P0342. Yo changed the wrong sensor. 0:38

I am confused, the DTC tels about crankshaft position sensor problem , however you are focusing on the camshaft position sensor!

This is very common problem on this 1.6 engine. I replaced it around 250000 kms.

Myself, Had it replaced original at 25x,xxx kms five years ago. I think it has its cycle. Buy genuine GM part would solve the problem.

Maybe u have loose wire harnesses, when it sense any signal cut, the code comes on

Usually Windows lifter has a plastic that connected to the motor, it brakes easily

What if the code was due to a faulty sensor but faulty contacts to it. Then the check engine light will come back

This is just shooting the parts cannon at your car. Replacing parts and hoping it fixes it. If the wiring got damaged, replacing the part won't fix it.
