FINALLY someone said that grammar is IMPORTANT
28 күн бұрын
yep, well at least russian is pretty serious about that aspect :)
@fatima3411
@fatima3411 28 күн бұрын
It's not that it's not important, it's just not that helpful when it comes to learning languages; but hey, if you enjoy studying grammar, fine, you do you. That said, if you hope to acquire a language by studying it's grammar, trust me, you won't go anywhere. Instead, invest that time in listening to natives in different content, preferably with subtitles in your language. Me, as an example, I'm able to speak a decent English just from watching content without studying grammar, and I've seen many people who speak grammatically correct languages with no grammar study, whilst, I don't speak french, even though we study it since early elementary school years until college.
@amirmottaghy7751
@amirmottaghy7751 27 күн бұрын
@@fatima3411 it is helpful, adults don't acquire grammar easily (specially when it comes to complex grammar) and of course making mistakes is a part of a process but one should be confident to a decent extent to compose a sentence or two in the target language. skipping the grammar by just saying "it's not helpful" is a wrong idea. people should just bear in mind not to get super obsessed with grammar. -how? Study grammar until feel it is pretty intuitive to you.
@fatima3411
@fatima3411 27 күн бұрын
@@amirmottaghy7751 Languages make sense only by listening and consuming a lot of content in the targeted language, and by doing that, grammar will automatically take its place without the feeling of need to study it, or that's for me at least.

Мы знаем, что русский язык - сложный, и мы всегда удивляемся, когда иностранцы учат его и, тем более, если они могут говорить на нем. И мы никогда не думаем, хорошо или плохо вы говорите по-русски, мы заняты шоком от этого, и вообще главное - понимание, для выживания. (Но Вы шикарно говорите, правда, я бы умерла от восхищения, если бы встретила вас в реальной жизни). Пожалуйста, не сойдите с ума 💜

@@clipsdeunpyke9551 Classical literature will help with a COMPLEX vocabulary, often optional. If you want to have fun, you can find any English/Spanish/German book that you are interested in, but in Russian. Almost everything was probably translated in Russian. @@clipsdeunpyke9551 вы прекрасно говорите по-русски! надеюсь, вы не против небольшого фидбека 😌 книга is a feminine word, thus that would be "одна книга". then there is a more complicated part :) we change the name of Dostoevsky. одна книга (кого? of whom? --> родительный падеж, genitive case) Достоевского. that's it! "у меня есть одна книга Достоевского" "хаха" was natural 😁 also don't mind me asking but what "книга для мальчика" would supposedly mean? a book for a boy?

From a native speaker: we do struggle with our language a lot. We've learned it around five times a week for 11 years in school, and we still make mistakes. Even adults. Even adults with a solid education. I graduated from high school with honors (in Saint Petersburg), and I have great linguistic intuition, but I wanted to cry while we were learning the forms of participles with Н in -НН- and -ЕНН-\-ЁНН- suffixes. And some other stuff. We had been learning grammar rules by heart and telling them later in front of the class. It was a pure torture. We had a lot of dictations, dictoglosses, and spelling quizzes - almost all the time. We always had 2 or 3 marks for every text we wrote: for grammar/punctuation and a separate one for your thoughts, and it was a common thing to have something like 3/5/5 (C/A/A) because it was hard to keep everything in place. And yes, we respect everyone who learns Russian as a second language. We have no idea how you guys decided to do this voluntarily. Take care!

I totally agree. I have been studying the Russian language for just over a year, and I study it every day. From the beginning I was concerned about learning at least the basic principles of grammar, and I confess that it helped me a lot. There was a moment when I had to stop, because the grammar was becoming more difficult and because I needed to apply what I had already learned or my brain would burn, literally. Today, I study less grammar, but I write more, I listen more and whenever I can I dedicate myself to verbs and declensions. I know it will take years to master this language, but I will get there and with a lot of effort! Greetings from Brazil!

Merhaba Iclal! 3 yıl önce Türkçe öğrenmeye başladım ve 3 ay önce Rusça öğrenmeye başladım. Bu videoyu izlemek gerçekten keyifliydi! I'm a bit horrified when it comes to the details of cases and verbs of motion. İyi çalışmalar ve başarılar dilerim! Спасибо и привет!

American Sign Language handles verbs in a similar manner to Russian. In ASL, the way you express "going" involves changing the shape of the hands depending how the traveling happened as well as changing the way you move it for aspect, such as one way trip, there and back, repeatedly, etc. Most of the verbs can be altered in a similar way. It's quite interesting...

hey bro thanks for this video i speak 6 languages, 4 native, 2 learned in school (spanish, portuguese, catalan, galician, italian, and english) and im learning russian but i always thought i just wont be able too because im not actually russian (caused by the number of my native languages) and because the culture and history was so much different than spain's and thats amplified even more due to the fact that im also mexican and was raised in mexico and the culture in mexico is much different than in spain leading to a double cultural barrier **but basically** i thought it was gonna be impossible for me to learn russian because im not russian, never been to russia and theres only a small group of people in my city that speak russian but this video cleared a lot of things up that i wouldnt have gotten before also the video is just really good and made me realize how similar spanish and russian are gramatically also makes the language feel a lot more easier to understand with your godly explanations of everything anyways have a good day

Абсолютно потрясающее видео, слушала с огромным интересом, хотя я сейчас учу Английский язык 😄🤍 С теплом вспомнила, как в школе на уроке русского языка наша учительница рассказала нам о такой запоминалке для падежей: «Иван родил девчонку, велел тащить пеленку» (каждая первая буква у слов в этом предложении - это первая буква падежа и то в каком порядке они идут, ахаххаха) надеюсь это поможет кому-то 😂

In fact, for years I have been observing the large number of people who claim to speak a certain language without ever really studying it. They are the polyglots who learned by watching videos and listening to music... They will never, ever have a certificate, because they don't know how to write in the language... it's a shame. Unfortunately, there are a large number of people who advocate immersion, but without grammar they will be illiterate repeaters of ready-made sentences.

Спасибо большое за этой видео, что даже теперь мне не понимаю как использую падежи - очень сложный. Честно говоря, не смог изучать чего-то русский язык, потому что у меня СДВГ, и так, все много еще сложно. У меня в третий года на университета для иностранные языков. In other words, it's simple videos like these that help me understand what is going on with this language, so, sincerely, thank you. Especially since my exams are coming up soon lol

I think it's better to form future tense of the verb "идти" as "буду идти", so it stays imperfective (natives are usually taught to keep the type of the verb) "Я шёл/иду/буду идти" gives general description of an action, when "пойти" is more of a plans or a promise. I think it's similar to English "will go" as equivalent to "буду идти" and "am going to" for "пойти" Also I think it's important to add that perfective verbs don't have present forms but their future forms look exactly like the present one might've been (Я пойду/выучу, поставлю). For me it is close to English "am going to" to describe your plans for the future

That's a big no. Nobody says "буду идти" in russian. Verbs of motion are different than normal verb conjugation in usage. You say "Я поиду" instead of "буду идти"
