One quick trick I learnt from Mike "in the mix"span.....whether you mix or master it's very good if you ctrl +left click on your mouse it instantly isolate frequency nd you can listen through the spectrum with bands isolated nd if u scroll your mouse wheel you can narrow band with.....nice to hear whre bass or drums is actually kicking

My favorite saturation FX: Phat FX, Slate Digital VTM, UA Studer 800, Kilohertz Faturator and probably more I forgot right now. Analyzers : Waves PAZ, Excite 4x(!!!!!! This one is a massive gamechanger!)

How I Used To archive The very same Mixing Style is By Loading an FL studio Compressor, then I apply the Drums option to My Log Drum. I Think It sounds Better compared To using The Camel crush. I would to Your Opinion because I make Muisc With Ear Phones😁😁

Or just layer your logdrum with a tight shaker or snare. It will give you the crisp sound your are looking for

Yeah this is the most optimal way to do this with layers, layers can be tweaked independently. The problem with distortion is adding harmonics is that they add up. Also you can easily without doing proper gain staging confuse "louder" for more powerful lol

You can just use reverb to make it hit harder and sound better too. That what I use when I make a Amapiano beat
