Vince you did an amazing job shooting that. It was terrifying to watch but I will be honest there is a strange beauty to it. I am happy that you and Brandon are ok. I don't think people realize how blessed we are to have such amazing Storm Chasers out there. You guys not only teach us about the weather, you also help so many people. Of course we also get some great humor in there too 😄 All I can say is Thank You, God Bless you all and stay safe out there 🙏🧡

It was as though that tornado knew you two were on the way and wanted you to capture how any tornado grows, moves, and functions. You see the inner vortex, you see how when it picks something up (the mud in this case), that something travels up the tornado and into the cloud above by spiraling around, and when it decided to stall out for a bit, it became photogenic and put on a show as though it were dancing in place for you and Brandon. It most definitely greeted you and thanked you by providing what all chasers dream of!

Tornadoes are much, much stronger than we think. They’re rated on damage to structures, but ones like this have such a small base that the chance of them hitting anything substantial is minuscule. Like a ballerina pulling her arms in, the smaller tornadoes seem to spin much faster than many of the the wider ones. While it was an extreme case, the Jarell, Texas EF5 wasn’t much wider than this tornado at all. I always wonder what the result would’ve been if a rapidly spinning, but skinny tornado like the one you’ve caught on video hit a modern home. What would it be rated and what would happen? Especially if the home was much larger than the base of the tornado itself. There are so man6 questions on the intensity of small ones like this that will probably never be answered. Great video nonetheless, Vince! Just found your channel after seeing your cams on RyanHallYall. You had balls of steel going that close to the skinny pinwheel of death!

interesting, i like how you could see the indications of the currents of air in the tornado itself. Looked as well that it was highly unstable. Is it common for them to be transparent like that at times?

WOW! You're so close of tornado. If you build a storm chaser tank like Reed Timmer's SRV Dominator 1, 2 & 3 and Sean Casey's TIV 1 & 2 to make intercept inside the eye of tornado.

It looked like a little bitty guy until it crossed the road and picked up that dirt. That helped show how fast it was spinning. I still want to find the highest rpm tornado but I can’t find anything on it. Everyone only cares about how big it is.

That Nader was kinda sketchy. I wouldn’t have been suprised if it had shot lateral of its actual path and came right at you. You wouldn’t have had much time to react and your only exit route would have let you display your skills at high speed reverse gear driving. I’m sure you’ve had a little practice in similar situations. Great video of a deceptively powerful little tornado. Without having measurements on the ground what would be your estimate of the actual wind speeds this thing generated? Maybe 150 or even higher?
