So far people have been thoughtful and careful not to get too close to the guard which I think is great. Someone said that it was disrespectful to pose with a guard. This is true, but it’s not going to change unless authorities prohibit it.

I saw that in York when two children were waiting for dad to take photo outside York Minster Cathedral, these two ignorant old women stood in front of them, I am not ashamed to say that I told them to move before my stick went up their rear ends, soon moved when they saw I had a temper. The dad thanked me, said no problem, hate people like that, he said you stopped and waited and it was much appreciated. They were busing family, came down from Scotland. Nice family.

I think it be a lot better and less crowded if Tourists would have to pay for a certain time to stay there and if they overstay their time make them pay again. Have you noticed how they all just congregate in front there for a very long time and why?

The horse guards (boxmen) only do an hour. The foot guards do two hours duty.
