How should a cop notify the secret service that there's someone on the roof? You think the local cop has the secret service agent on speed dial? It's these small details that bite you. I'm very very grateful Trump didn't get seriously hurt. If things work like they should, procedures will be updated so this doesn't happen again, but that requires people be mature enough to say "Here's what didn't work" in the spirit of improvement and prevention, and not in the spirit of blame and punishment. But that takes mature adults who can admit when they're wrong.

@@JillKnappThe reason that there were outside agencies is Jill Biden had a event conveniently on the same day as the Trump rally which made it so outside law enforcement agencies had to be used because there wasn’t enough secret service. That made communications between agencies slow. He was on S.S. radar 45 minutes before the shooting because he tried to get through a metal detector with a rangefinder. Bystanders spotted the shooter on the roof with a rifle and informed law enforcement 2 minutes before the first shots rang out. It’s very fishy.

This was done without any evidence of any criminal wrongdoing by Mayorca and was apparently done to appease Trump and express disagreement with policy of Biden’s administration. In any case it failed in the senate as it lacked any impeachable offenses and as numerous conservative scholars have pointed out using impeachment with out any constitutional basis in an attempt toaffect policy goes against the constitution. Think of it like this, if the senate had voted to convict and remove Mayorkas from office and if somehow that changed the policy of the presidents administration is that what we would want ? To impeach members of a presidents cabinet everytime we disagree with the law, implementation or policy of the administration ?
