I respect your opinion of the Seiko stock Jubilee bracelet but I think it is a little bit wrong headed. It's very easy to fall into disrespecting something because the 'hobby mindset' routinely disrespects it out of hand. In this case I can't jump on the SKX Jubilee hater's band wagon. Reality has shown me that the hate is not deserved. 1) Yes it is jangly like rattling nuts & bolts in a tin can when you shake it like a maraca, but once properly sized and on the wrist, it's silent. I tend to keep my SKX on my wrist so noise has never been a problem for me. If your watch bracelet is noisy, try putting it on your wrist. 2) The flexibility of the stock Jubilee bracelet is unprecedented and that is the secret to it's incredible and unparalleled comfort on the wrist. It conforms to every movement of arm, hand and wrist better that any other bracelet or strap I've experienced. I have a high-end Swiss Engineer bracelet on an Eterna and, as great as it is, I'm not sure that it matches the sad, jangly, hollow end link Jubilee from Sieko. At least in terms of comfort. 3) If the stock Jubilee bracelet lays down or folds over when the watch is set down on it's side on the table, I suggest you put the watch on your wrist. I really prefer to keep my SKX on wrist. 4) I'm a field service technician and have beat up my poor old 009 every day for 8 years by knocking it around inside of industrial equipment racks. The Jubilee hasn't stretched enough for me to hardly notice. I think maybe the claim of bracelet stretch is more urban legend than reality. 5) Many have made a big deal out of the inferiority of hollow end links. Why? In what way are they inferior? The fit on the SKX is impeccable, they look perfect and will outlast the watch and perhaps outlast the wearer of the watch. The bumper on my car is hollow, yet I don't endevor to replace it with a bumper milled from a solid stainless steel billet... 6) Finally, that Strapcode Jubilee is a thing of beauty but you're giving up the SEIKO signed clasp. Dude! You didn't even mention that. I'd sooner put on the rubber diving strap or a Nato!

The original SKX bracelet wears comfortably, it does not have to "stand up", the number of mini adjustments is sufficient, the center links don't flip around ever.The clasp locks safely, and the bracelet fits the watch perfectly. I wear my SKX very often, and i have no idea what your problem might be.

Am I the only one that loves the Seiko Jubilee yeah there's Better Built bracelets but there's nothing wrong with the stock I love the Jubilee so much I even put one on my new new Seiko 5

The original strap is just the best. The big problem for me is the weight in the aftermarket straps...way too heavy. Oh, and finally, I have had my original jubilee for ten years. Never broken or fallen off

I much prefer the stock bracelet. Part of what makes my 7002 so wearable is how lightweight it is. I never take mine off. Only to shower. So adding extra weight to a watch that never leaves my wrist is foolish. The factory bracelet is way more durable then you think.

I’ve been wearing my 10+ year old stock jubilee on my Turtle using Uncle Seiko Z199 end links. The end links fit perfectly with the stock jubilee and it’s a very comfortable combination. The bracelet doesn’t rattle on my wrist at all.

Aside from reducing the cost in building the watch. Seiko probably have a purpose on why they put a lighter strap. Its for the wearers comfort and beside its a tool watch as much as possible it should be light in weight.

Stock bracelet is flimsy and cheap and shows that. It is uncomfortable too since it cannot carry the weight of my SKX009. I have to adjust the bracelet tighter than my other bracelets to avoid the watch hanging down with the curved bracelet. And these comments are after using the stock jubilee for ten years. Super Jubilee is so much more comfortable, feels better, and it also looks better.

Well my advice for the people with skx 013 think twice before get one. Yes it is well made the links are solid and bla bla bla but it has different shape from original stock bracelet and it makes your watch look smaller as they are because it looks wider. The clasp is huge and bulky seems very easy to open (I try the same original seiko clasp on the different bracelet and it locks much better and confident) I think to oder a small one. So this bracelet will change the whole look of the watch as for skx013

I'll never understand all the hype over solid endlinks. They're a pain in the ass to put on and if either the watch or the bracelet is less than absolutely perfect, it won't fit at all. And as far as the whole pins vs screws thing goes, has anyone ever had a pin fall out? I haven't. I've had several screws fall out, though. Everybody always says "Just use loctite on the screws" but, why bother when I can just get a bracelet with pins that don't fall out? Nobody uses a hammer for pins anymore. Buy a damn pin pusher for 2 bucks like everybody else.

What would convince me to get a super jubilee strapcode when you can get a solid 316l steel bracelet from china for $30 or less...? Now the Angus Stracode bracelet is hefty and I'll buy that for sure.

Strapocode seem better in almost every way except the thickness at the clasp. I can't stand thick clasps. Which leaves me at an indecision for either of these bracelets. I have the J1 that came on rubber (taken off on the first day and replaced by a NATO).

Think the original bracelets quality is fine but I don't like the weight and the feel of it. Was thinking about buying a skx but the bracelet was the only thing I didn't like. After some browsing I found out better replacement ones so might get one of those

You literally say you've never worn the stock bracelet then proceed to talk about how much you don't like it. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me. At least use the thing for a while. Also, I've tried my hardest to get one of the hollow center links to flip around while it's actually attached and it's impossible.

I like strapcode stuff but most of your complaints aren't even applicable when wearing the watch..

I prefer the Strapcode simply because the screw in pins.

Yes the stock jubillee bracelet is cheap and nasty feeling.....but ive worn it non stop for 5 years with super tight fitting ...dont really care cuz its cheap and easy to find anywhere .....and i dont find any stretch on the bracelet and im confused like wow this is durable!

You don’t show that the solid end links on the StrapCode version do not perfectly match the contours of the lugs - they stick out about 2mm past the tips of the lugs. The stock fits perfectly and looks much better on the watch. I will take perfectly contoured hollow links over poorly formed solids any day.

Two things to consider: For that price they should have designed the endlink to articulate on the inside, in line with the regular holes in the lugs because it is more comfortable wearing it. This comfort aspect leads to the second thing: The stechiness of the original fittet bracelet is, in my opinion a comfort feature. Comfort, that's what a jubelee bracelet is about, in my eyes! Completely disagree only because you are not giving the stock bracelet respect for what it is. I respect what the strap code is but it is heavier and that is everything when it comes to comfort. The stock bracelet is attractive, light and actually well made for such a light bracelet.

The CENTRE END-LINK ON EACH SIDE OF THE STRAPCODE SUPER J. IS UGLY UGLY UGLY - STIFF THING STICKING OUT. I’D MUCH RATHER HAVE THE FLEXING CENTRE END-LINKS OF THE ORIGINAL SEIKO JUBILEE.

The original Seiko is inferior in every way but....... Its just better and more comfortable in every way then the heavier better made alternatives. Crazy I know but listen, I have had my SKX for 15 years on the original bracelet. It has been the most comfortable and tough bracelelt that i have ever owned. just purchased a new one and its just the same. Crazy, I know but just true. Theres too much nonsense about hollow vs solid end links. Functionally speaking they are no different, except that one is heavier and more rigid than the other. I think Seiko's original bracelet was built for purpose...light weight and comfortable due to its flex that conforms easily with the various wrists out there. Besides, I'm not worried about jumping off a cliff at risk of getting my watch snatched off my wrist by the claws of the dragon Rhaegar, where a solid end link would have kept it safe.

this stupid guy trashtalk too much about the stock jubilee, I have a 2nd hand skx009 with stock folded jubilee, and the new skx009 with the same bracelet, I never noticed a single stretch except the scratches on the clasp I notice that as the stock oem jubilee older it became hard to stretch I am not worried about test pulling my old oem jubilee to my old skx009 but I notice the spring bar on lugs is bending as I pull the bracelet
