This is an alternative rock band that came out of SF. Linda Perry the singer has wrote songs for Christina Aguerlina, Gwen Stefani and Pink. She also contributed to albums by Adele and Alicia Keys. Was inducted into the songwriters hall of fame in 2015. She is very talented.

I've only heard this one song but her voice is amazing and that, out of the crayon box comment had me rolling on the floor.

This whole album is great. Check out Dear Mr. President, Spaceman and Morphine And Chocolate to name a few. The band does have one male, Roger on guitar. They didn't last long, but Linda Perry, lead singer and song writer went on to have a pretty lucrative solo career and is still going. ✌️

I've heard it many times over but it was always just in the background at some bar. I'm a hippie and have closed myself off as far as listening to new music and that's unfortunate. One of the greatest one hit wonders ever with that classic chorus. They broke up after this because the lead singer wanted to go a new direction each album and her band mates refused, so she quit. Now just writes for the likes of Pink.

They only sing "What's Going On" in the video. I believe they named it "What's Up" because Marvin Gaye had a famous song called "What's Going On" and maybe they didn't want any confusion about the songs.

Linda Perry is also a great songwriter wrote for Pink, a few others. I hope she still sings, great voice. Could no doubt do great covers of Janis Joplin's songs and more great singers of the past. Interesting thing.. the singer, after this band, went on to write and produce a lot of songs for female artists in the late 90s early aughts. Nelly Furtado, Pink I think, maybe even early Katy Perry, though I might be wrong. She became a major songwriter, even though she wasn't in the spotlight anymore. Great artist, even though in the background.
