There was Ronnie he was the original lead singer for Lynyrd Skynyrd, Donnie is the middle son he is with 38 Special which is another great Southern rock group and there is Johnny he did have a solo career and when they decided to try do a Skynyrd reunion tour Gary and I think Billy talked Johnny into taking in the lead singer role he was afraid he would not be able too fill Ronnie’s shoes and they told him there could not anyone else do it. This is a great tribute to Ronnie and Melody is Ronnie’s daughter

I feel like so many people give Johnny grief for taking Ronnie's place, but he the only one I feel who could. When they got back together in the 80's I think it healing to the survivors to continue what was torn away so suddenly. The song is like a letter to Ronnie so powerful and gut wrenching

🎸💯 Brickyard Road is VERY special‼🔥 BizMatik, thank you for this emotional reaction/tribute‼ My oldest sister was murdered when she was 30 & I was 20. My parents are both gone, too. I've spent a very long time waiting for the holes in my heart & soul to heal from the loss of them. What I've learned is it NEVER happens! It may become a little less "raw" but it's ALWAYS there. 😢

Johnny's a great singer. Probably the only one that could have fronted Skynyrd after Ronnie, who was the best song writer in the Southern Rock genre, IMO. No shame in getting emotional. Nice reaction BizMatik... 😎

Johnny had a solo career in the early 80s before he did the Skynyrd thing. This was his last solo album after the Skynyrd Tribute tour in 87-88 before the Skynyrd gig became permanent. He has also done 4 albums with his brother Donnie (of the band 38 Special) under the band name Van Zant May I suggest 38 Special - Rebel To Rebel as another Skynyrd Tribute song

Yes, I agree with you…JVZ is extremely talented!! I’ve heard him live more times than I can count over the years and he never disappoints! In fact, he’s one of my favorite artists! Ronnie would be so proud of his little brother…I’m sure he is! He does RVZ justice taking over Skynyrd! ❤️🥰

This is the first time I've heard this. I honestly don't think I could get through it if it was about my sister. She's is my best friend. I couldn't go on without her. The crazy part of it is we almost lost her 3 times. Literally almost died 3 times. Thank God it wasn't her time to go. This was a beautiful song and I'm glad I listened. Thanks! Peace!

I've been sitting here tonight watching Brick Yard Road and different videos that people has put together To Honor and Remember Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Legend Ronnie Van Zant and I was thinking about how much I'd love to see someone react to this song and I promise I started scrolling through KZfaq and your I ran upon your reaction and Im sitting here trying to type with tears in my eyes and you see I was Jamming Lynyrd Skynyrd when I was just 10 years old and in that time before the plane crash was Some of my best days ever as being one of there biggest fans and all the good memories that they were part of in my life growing up . Just having there music to listen to is Absolute Gold for me and Thank you so so much for reacting to this song .

Hello BizMatik, since I've found your channel, I switch between your old reactions. I like your open ear and mind. You're right, music has no colour, just soul. :Cunnie Williams So, I have a present for you, a special record, from 1974 or something, to react on the complete album, or special pieces on it. Try to listen not before. 😉 SUPERMAX : World of today 🇨🇭👍

When you get into 38 Special there are 2 sides to the band. Donnie Van Zant sings the gritty southern rock stuff and Don Barnes sings the AOR radio stuff. I'm much more partial to the Van Zant songs like Back On The Tracks, Stone Cold Believer, Bring It On and Rebel To Rebel
