Given Killmonger's betrayal and Ultron's hatred for him, it was a good call. Otherwise we probably would have watched Tony die for the fifth time.

Haha in this timeline Tony Stark and Gamora found themselves on Sakaar and after defeating the Grandmaster they banded together to stop Thanos.

I think it happens when Tony doesn't fall back through the portal in the first Avengers and gets captured by Thanos and tortured by Nebula and Gamora, then talks sense into Gamora about how Thanos is a straight such dickhead, builds a Thanos Buster out of Chitari tech defeat Thanos before he gets the stones and there they are destroying the gauntlet that can hold the stones Just a thought

Of all the Universes, he chose Gamora, Captain Carter over Tony Starks, other Doctor Stranges? Watcher could have chosen 5 Dr. Stranges, 2-3 Tony Starks, 10 Thors, 10 Hulks, 10 Visions from different Universes. These lot would have easily defeated Ultron.

I mean, as doctor strange said, there is one in 14 billion or something possibility for them to win against thanos, and that 1 in 14 billion is the chance of tony sacrificing himself and be an actual hero, so The rest of Tony's are probably Aholes
