It feels like only yesterday I could barely look a Breitling watch in the eye. I’ll be honest, I thought they were ugly. Like, burn it with fire ugly. Thing is, they didn’t used to be like that. A vintage Breitling is a stunning thing. And now a modern one is too-and I cannot fathom why anyone would buy a Rolex Daytona instead.

It is gorgeous. Very much giving me the Lange datagraph vibes. The syringe hands are to DIE for, the face on the moon is the most adorable thing I have ever seen in watchmaking. They have really upped their game. Even the new superocean is pretty damn nice and priced well considering the market right now. Wow. Never thought I'd ever say this shit about a breitling but credit where credit is due!

No, Breitling took an ETA 7751 and just forgot to say it's an ETA 7751. There are honestly quite a few ETA 7751's where they've actually been modified to omit the moon phase, looking at you Omega. Longines has done it better in their Master Collection.

It's great to see brands that may have been perceived as in the doldrums some years ago regroup and rise.. Breitling certainly come to mind but also Longines have produced some great pieces as well. I'll add Tissot to that list as well.

this isn't a brand turn around. This is an ETA 7751 rip off and they aren't even acknowledging it. This watch makes me have less respect for Breitling. The Longines Master Collection Calendar is an ETA 7751 that's been improved to be thinner, column wheel instead of cam, and it's 1/4 the price.

@@robinfernando5970 That's fair. I was less referring to this specific watch, and more to the fact that overall Breitling's product and brand image has improved dramatically over the past couple of years. I would guess it's better designs and better marketing vs. vastly better horological content

Love the Premier range. I bought the B09 with pistachio dial and caramel coloured strap. I seriously get hunger pangs when I look at it. Took me a year to pull the trigger but so glad I did.

Guys, with much respect, please stop putting Rolex in the title. It's a beautiful watch, and a gorgeous Chronograph - but it has nothing in common with the Daytona. If anything, the watch is more along the lines of Jaeger Le-Coultre Master Control Chronograph design language. There is no destruction happening here, just a comparison that makes absolutely no sense.

If you cover the logo, you'd swear you're looking at a Patek or even an A. Lange & Sohne. I'll check this one out on my next visit to the AD but I would still get the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Chronograph (my holy grail) over this one

Oh it is beautiful. So nice that I was ready to buy one until………. I saw the side view and ridiculous thickness. The case is so thick that instead of contouring the case band with concave/convex curves or steps, Breitling just decided to cut a bunch of channels into it. I’m shocked at whoever gave that design cue the final approval.

Such a clever scriptwriter. Proper use of the English language, with delicious British irony and stretched analogies (that might just escape the wit of non-native speakers). There are many Datona 'destroyers' out there. Unfortunately, most, like this pretty Brietling are too big, and will tumble in value the moment you cross the dealer's threshold. When will manufacturers get it ? - the right size for a sports watch is 38/40mm. Unless the wearer is 6'3" and bulky, 42mm just suggests attention seeking, in the wrong way. Of course, if you're 5'6" man and wearing a 42mm I quite understand that you are the exception to the rule.

The question is why they couldn't develop the caliber B25 on their own and instead had to collaborate with Concepto to use one of their calibers as a base movement? How reliable and accurate is it compared to their own B01?

I'm no rolex fanboy but the thickness of the Breitling cannot be glossed over. >15mm is very thick, and is a dealbreaker for those with small wrists. If you want a chronograph, there are thinner ones from Breitling that are

How did Breitling nail it? This is a straight up ETA 7751. The Longines Master Collection Calendar is thinner and they switched the cam wheel out for a column wheel. It's also 1/4 the price.

I love this watch and I always find absolute joy every time I would look at my wrist. This is an amazing piece, better looking than a Rolex. My only problem is the date chrono is so difficult to see because it’s so small. Well my eyes and the rest of my body are not as young as I used to be 😂

I used to love your videos, but they seem to have lost all sense of objectivity. It's a dressy watch, but it's 15mm. That's not something you get over if you want to slip it under a cuff. And why the Daytona comparison? It is a completely unrelated watch with an entirely different complication and segment of the market. This channel needs to get back on track...

Couldn't agree more. I'm not a fan of Rolex, quite opposite, but in the last few month, all videos or shorts are "this destroys Rolex, you wouldn't buy Rolex after seeing this"... it's quite annoying.

I had a chance to see this watch along with their Split Seconds Duograph Premier both are more stunning in person sadly both are also out of my price range.

Face and case of that watch is spitting copy of Patek Philippe and Zenith chronomaster but movement is not as polished as PP and as good as El Primero. It is a good watch but why would I choose it over less expensive Zenith or much more prestigious PP?

I think it’s the robustness of the Rolex watch on a whole… you can wear it everyday for years and have no worries about it from mechanics to residual value… The new Breitling is stunning, let’s just see where it is in a decade
