Is this confirmed somewhere? Because that doesn’t make sense to me. He’s in the loop, meaning it keeps repeating itself, meaning he experiences it for the “first time” every single time, right? (Hence, the “I’ve come to bargain” line being repeated.) And he just has to judge how long it’s been by Dormamu’s reaction to his arrival, even if he thinks it’s the first time. That’s just my thoughts on it though. If you have a good explanation as to why it’s otherwise (or someone confirming it from Marvel or something) then I’d happily change my mind, because I like that explanation.

The thing about his hands is that as a surgeon you need to hold them perfectly still. He's not just a perfectionist but simply can't do his job with his hands. And he feels like he doesn't have another purpose than doing that job. Btw the shaking continues all the way to Avengers Endgame, Marvel really pays attention to that.

Usually, in the comic book universe, cosmic all-powerful beings might be evil as hell, but generally their word is bond. So, it was reasonable that Dormammu would keep his word.

Well yeah but Dormamu has a history of breaking but not really breaking pacts. He finds loopholes in the pacts and manages to attack Earth. For example once when Dormamu promised to stay out of Strange's buisness, he sent Clea and someone else (I don't remember who) to kill Strange. At the same time he wasn't necessarily disobeying his word. Too petty. Agree with you though

Not really, it could be someone trying to focus, but in this scene Strange was making fun of West due to him messing up the patients time of death previously. Its not complicated Rico... they explained it in the movie... in the mirror dimension you can do whatever you want and it won't affect the real life. They use the mirror dimension for training... like intense training.... thats why they said its more dangerous in there cuz you can freakin do whatever you want... destroy stuff...literally twist building like in the end. And about the Sling ring... its just an accessory used for opening portals... everyone there has one... but that doesn't mean you can't use somebody else ring.

It has touch memory - as soon as it touches skin, it knows that person’s entire history, memories, thoughts, feelings, anticipates what they would do…it knows the wearer w/o judgement. The reason I love this movie is that perfect moment. It is when the Ancient one teaches him that it is not about being perfect or great as he sees it - it is not about you at all. It is the reason lovers give up everything for each other; soldiers sacrifice themselves to save their siblings at arms; why a fireman runs into a burning building to try to save a person inside. It is one of the hardest and last lessons you learn to become an adult. It is not about you.
@FiresCollide
@FiresCollide Жыл бұрын
So here's something fun from behind the scenes: The director (Scott Derrickson) and writer (C. Robert Cargill) have talked about how impressive Mads Mikkelsen (Kaecilius) is. He was actually a gymnast and dancer before he became an actor, so he was super athletic. There were certain marks he had to hit and certain ways he had to hold his daggers to get them to glint off the lights. They'd show him his mark exactly once and he'd hit his mark every single time. Never missed.

I am convinced Strange subconsciously used magic during the accident to save himself (you even hear the sound effects of magic during the crash). A mortal does not walk away from the accident he was in. Also I believe it's been said that Strange and Dormammu were in that time loop for thousands, if not millions, of years. In that time, Dormammu undoubtedly tried every trick in the book, from going back on his word to ignoring Strange or any other thing you can think of. Strange had, apparently, worked the loop so perfectly that if Dormammu literally did anything other than yield to Strange's demands, the loop would reset and they'd be right back at it.

Nice little easter egg for you bcuz I think you guys missed it: Right before the accident in the car Stephen's receptionist on the phone was offering him Colonel Rhodes (War Machine) for surgery but he rejected it. That was right after his accident in Civil War.

this movie is SEVERELY underrated. i didn't like it the first time I watched it but was completely obsessed the second time. spider man no way home definitely made people more hyped for doctor strange 2 and I'm really glad but I think that hype should've been there since the beginning. also, its a more serious marvel movie but I do think it has one of the funniest blooper/gag reels hahah.

Love your reactions Dr. Strange learned self sacrifice for the common good. The MCU has the element of humor. They are film representations of the comic books. So lots of fighting and some humor. Marvel Comics also deals with the internal struggle of humans. Peter Parker, an insecure teen given great power while also having to deal with puberty. Thor needing to get over his arrogance and lust for battle. Tony Stark keeping his ego in check. The mirror dimension is represented using fractals of the surrounding buildings. Fractals is a branch of mathematics created by Benoit Mandelbrot. Objects created using fractals have infinite repetition of the same surface. Where the other heroes battle tangible threats to our world. Doctor Strange protects the Earth from ethereal dangers.

I understand some people take a bit longer to understand concepts like this don't worry so did I. 😂 Basically all those city fight scenes happened in the Mirror Dimension. The Ancient One explained to Strange that in the Mirror Dimension, everything looks identical to the real world but anything that you do in there doesn't effect the real world. Which is why they could fight and change and warp the city so much and no one noticed or got hurt.

One thing that bugs me in this is the ancient one saying strange isn’t a doctor anymore when he corrects the prefix. While he doesn’t practice anymore, he is still a doctor. They don’t revoke your PhD when you can’t practice (except maybe if you’re disbarred)

You guys discussing whether he is evil or not. Yeah, you can say that about every single evil person. There are always good intentions underneath. Kang, Thanos, Mordor, Killmonger, etc. The only ones without good intentions underneath are technically not people. And even then it is a thumb vs finger situation: some can not be conted as people, yet still mean well.

Hey guys love your reaction, one thing I highly recommend is that after you watch these Marvel movies to head over to new rockstars or Canadian Lads breakdown videos so you aren't confused about what you saw, think you saw or struggle to understand. Also in your finish with infinity war and endgame you should start the Disney plus series shows

Hello Rico Presents, have enjoyed a few of the reactions the both of you have done together. You've got my sub. I do have a question are you going to be doing similar reactions to shows like Falcon & The Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, etc ? Would be great if you did. Have a great day be well!

Ultimately, time doesn't really exist. Time is a human construct which depends on magnetism to create volume, which is needed to measure any invent in a physical universe. Time loop movies may provide great entertainment value, but in reality, going back in time and rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic is impossible because this universe has a fail safe system installed in it, which is, you can't go back in time and rearrange it. Because if you could go back in time and rearrange past events, you'd set up infinite paradoxes that would ultimately destroy the universe itself. For instance, if any sufficiently advanced species could reset past events, you'd be creating ripples in time all the way to the present changing many other events connected to the first one you changed in the past. And changing all those events will have unforeseen consequences that will not necessarily give you the desired results. And if you keep going back in time and rearranging it to get the correct desired results, you'll keep creating more paradoxes that will have more unforeseen results. So what happens when you have several species who can do this and they start changing each others past to suit their own agendas of control over each other? See what I mean? And what is stopping any one who has this ability to go back far enough to stop this universe from ever existing in the first place? Do you think those who created this universe would allow a sub-species inside their own creation to destroy their creation? Very Unlikely. Past events are there to teach us lessons in life, they're not there to cheat life.
